Niners LBs Azeez Al-Shaair (knee) and Marcell Harris (Achilles') are inactive for today's game against the Rams. S Jaquiski Tartt (shoulder) and LB Dre Greenlaw (groin) are active after arriving questionable.

The 49ers have deemed S Jaquiski Tartt (groin) and LB Kwon Alexander (ankle) doubtful for Sunday's game against the Seahawks. That should keep S Marcell Harris and LB Dre Greenlaw in full-time roles and in play for IDP lineups. S Jimmie Ward (quad) is questionable after missing last week's game. If Ward can't go, then Tarvarius Moore would get another start. We'll check his status Sunday.

Niners S Jaquiski Tartt (groin) and S Jimmie Ward (quad) remained out of practice Wednesday after missing Sunday's win over the Patriots. Tarvarius Moore and Marcell Harris started in their places against New England and tied for the team lead with 5 solo tackles. Each would be in play for IDP use against a pass-heavy Seattle team this week if Tartt and Ward sit again. Moore is the Ward replacement and Harris for Tartt, though their in-game roles have been fairly interchangeable. Elsewhere on the defense, LB Kwon Alexander (high-ankle sprain) remained out of practice Wednesday. His absence would keep Dre Greenlaw in a full-time role.

Niners DE Nick Bosa, DE Dee Ford and S Jaquiski Tartt are active for today's game against the Steelers. All entered the day questionable and are low-level IDP options at best. Ford, in particular, has been struggling through his return from a preseason knee sprain and should not be in fantasy football lineups. DB Jimmie Ward, meanwhile, is inactive once again. That keeps Tarvarius Moore in play for deep IDP leagues.

Niners S Jaquiski Tartt re-aggravated his shoulder injury in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks. Tartt has already lost 4 games to injury this season and hasn't reached 90% playing time since Oct. 21. He's not worth hanging on to in most IDP leagues at this point. If Tartt misses further time, Antone Exum would hit the IDP radar. He started in Tartt's place earlier this year and stepped in for the other half of Sunday's SS snaps.

The 49ers have ruled S Jaquiski Tartt (shoulder) and LB Reuben Foster (hamstring) out for Monday night’s game against the Giants. Tartt’s absence puts Antone Exum in starting range for IDP lineups, after he delivered starter production while filling in earlier this season

The 49ers have ruled out SS Jaquiski Tartt (shoulder) for Thursday night's game against the Raiders. They will also be without his backup, Antone Exum (concussion). That likely means the 1st career start for S Tyvis Powell. San Franscisco also lists CB Richard Sherman (calf, heel) as questionable. An already-weak defense looks even softer for Week 9.

Niners LB Reuben Foster (hamstring) and S Jaquiski Tartt (shoulder) each left Sunday's loss to the Cardinals early with injuries and did not return. San Francisco now plays Oakland on Thursday night, which will challenge the ability of either defender to make it back for Week 9.

The 49ers expect to get S Jaquiski Tartt back in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, according to NBC Bay Area's Matt Maiocco. Tartt missed the past 2 games with a shoulder injury, and Antone Exum delivered a pair of top-3 fantasy finishes among DBs in his place. There's no reason to believe we can't get top-shelf fantasy production from Tartt at the position going forward.

The 49ers will likely miss SS Jaquiski Tartt for the 2nd straight week. He missed every day of practice with the shoulder injury that ended his Week 2 early and cost him Week 3. Antone Exum figures to start in Tartt's place again and looks like a decent IDP option against the Chargers. Exum racked up 9 tackles (8 solo) and a sack against the Chiefs last time out.

Niners S Jaquiski Tartt remained out with a shoulder injury Wednesday when the team started practice for the Week 4 matchup with the Chargers. Tartt missed Week 3 and watched Antone Exum step in for 9 tackles (8 solo) and a sack. If Tartt can't go Sunday, then Exum becomes an IDP option.

Niners S Jaquiski Tartt is out for today's game against the Chiefs with a shoulder injury.

Niners S Jaquiski Tartt is questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs. Tartt missed Wednesday's and Thursday's practices with a shoulder injury before returning to a limited workout Friday. We'll check his status Sunday morning.

Niners S Jaquiski Tartt missed Wednesday's practice because of a shoulder injury. According to multiple reports, it's an aggravation of an issue he dealt with in the offseason. We'll watch his status throughout the week.

The 49ers lost another player to injury in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals. S Jaquiski Tartt broke his right wrist and is likely to miss the rest of the season. The defense lost starting S Jimmie Ward to a season-ending arm fracture just the week before. We'll see about the team's plan for replacing Tartt.

Niners S Jaquiski Tartt is active for today's game against the Cardinals after clearing the league concussion protocol. He's a nice upside play for IDP lineups this week.

The 49ers have labeled S Jaquiski Tartt questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals because of his concussion. According to Cam Inman of the Bay Area News Group, Tartt cleared the league protocol Friday, which would seem to be the last step toward Tartt playing Sunday. Bet on him being there, but we'll update Tartt's status Sunday afternoon.
