The Jaguars have agreed to a 4-year deal with S Rayshawn Jenkins. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports it's a $35 million pact with $16 million fully guaranteed. Jenkins looks likely to take over the SS role primarily manned by Josh Jones last season. Jarrod Wilson is the current lead candidate to hang on to the FS spot. We'll see what the rest of the offseason brings at that position, though. Jenkins got his 1st shot at full-time starting duty last year and posted decent fantasy numbers, but they were primarily driven by tackles. Don't expect him to stand out in our 2021 IDP rankings.
The Jaguars have ruled OLB Myles Jack (ankle) out for Sunday's game against the Chargers. Dakota Allen will start in his place. Allen tallied 7 tackles (5 solo) and a QB hit at Houston in Week 5 the last time he filled in for Jack. Jacksonville has also ruled out S Jarrod Wilson. Second-year S Brandon Watson will get his 1st career start in Wilson's place.
The Jaguars activated S Jarrod Wilson (hamstring) off IR on Saturday. Wilson missed the past 3 games and remained limited in practice this week. It's not clear whether he'll return to the starting lineup or continue to let Andrew Wingard play in his place for another game. Try to avoid the situation altogether, if you can.
The Jaguars this week placed S Jarrod Wilson on IR with a hamstring injury suffered in the win over the Colts. That means Wilson will miss at least the next 3 games. Jacksonville added CB Sidney Jones to the active roster after deactivating Wilson, who is merely a lower-level IDP option.
