The Steelers placed RB Jeremy McNichols on IR with a shoulder injury, ending his 2022 season. McNichols signed with Pittsburgh just last week. Undrafted rookie RB Master Teague was signed in a corresponding roster move. Benny Snell remains the favorite for the Steelers' #2 RB job.

The Steelers added RB Jeremy McNichols on a 1-year contract. In a corresponding move, RB Trey Edmunds was released. McNichols, 26, spent 2020-2021 as a backup but flashed last season with 28 catches for 240 yards. Pittsburgh’s backfield is unsettled behind Najee Harris, so McNichols has a real chance at earning a roster spot. Still, he’s nowhere near the redraft radar.

The Falcons on Thursday announced the signing of RB Jeremy McNichols. The former 5th-round pick of the Buccaneers has just 90 career carries and 55 targets through 5 seasons, with all but 2 of those opportunities coming in Tennessee over the past 2 years. The shaky state of Atlanta's backfield, though, makes every addition worth noting. It should be a wide-open competition for touches alongside Cordarrelle Patterson.

The Titans waived RB Jeremy McNichols. It’s a predictable move, as Tennessee is set to welcome Derrick Henry (foot) back for the postseason. D’Onta Foreman and Dontrell Hilliard will fill out the depth chart behind Henry. A Titans win on Sunday locks up the #1 seed — and a 1st-round bye.

Titans RB Jeremy McNichols (concussion) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report. He’ll return for Sunday’s game vs. the Jaguars after missing the last 2. It’s unclear what McNichols’ role will be alongside RBs D’Onta Foreman and Dontrelle Hilliard. Foreman is the best fantasy bet among the trio.

Titans RB Jeremy McNichols (concussion) put in a full practice on Wednesday. That puts him on track to return for this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars -- and makes Tennessee's backfield a lot tougher to project. RBs D'Onta Foreman and Dontrelle Hillard both topped 100 rushing yards in the Titans' last game, with McNichols sidelined. It's unclear how McNichols will fit into the picture now. Foreman's "big-back" role seems relatively safe. McNichols and Hilliard might cannibalize each other.

Titans RB Jeremy McNichols (concussion) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Patriots. That leaves Tennessee’s backfield to D’Onta Foreman and Dontrelle Hilliard. Foreman figures to lead in carries, with Hilliard handling most of the passing downs. Neither is an exciting fantasy play vs. a tough New England defense.

The Titans released RB Adrian Peterson. This could be the end of the road for the 36-year-old, who averaged just 3.0 yards on 27 attempts over the past 3 weeks. Tennessee will move forward with RBs D'Onta Foreman, Dontrelle Hilliard and Jeremy McNichols for as long as Derrick Henry is out.

Titans RB Jeremy McNichols (concussion) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Texans. That turns Tennessee’s backfield from a 3-man to a 2-man committee. McNichols averaged 5.5 carries and 3 targets over the past 2 weeks, so his absence is a slight boost to RBs D’Onta Foreman and Adrian Peterson.

Titans RB Jeremy McNichols (concussion) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. He's now looking unlikely to be cleared in time for Sunday's game vs. the Texans. McNichols has averaged 5.5 carries and 3 targets in 2 games without RB Derrick Henry, so his absence would be a slight boost for RBs D'Onta Foreman and Adrian Peterson.

Titans RB Jeremy McNichols missed Wednesday's practice and is on the injury report with a concussion. It's the first we've heard of it but has McNichols in danger of missing Sunday's game vs. the Texans. His absence would turn a 3-man backfield into a 2-man backfield with D'Onta Foreman and Adrian Peterson. McNichols has totaled 11 carries and 6 targets with RB Derrick Henry out the past 2 weeks.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that Adrian Peterson is expected to be the Titans' lead back vs. the Rams tonight. Pelissero throws out a projection of "upwards of 15 touches" for Peterson. We're curious to see exactly what this Henry-less backfield looks like, with Jeremy McNichols and D'Onta Foreman also in the mix. We'd still consider Peterson just a RB3 or flex play for Week 9.
