The Bills have placed CB Josh Norman on the COVID list after he tested positive. Buffalo has also placed TE Tyler Kroft, CB Levi Wallace and S Dean Marlowe on the list as close contacts. They won't travel for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. That removes a starting corner (Wallace) and the potential replacement for S Micah Hyde if Hyde turns up inactive. He's questionable after sustaining an ankle injury Thursday that kept him out of Friday's practice. So Buffalo could be facing Arizona down 2 of its top 3 outside CBs and starting a 3rd-stringer at safety.

Bills CB Levi Wallace left in the 1st quarter of Sunday's win over the Raiders with an ankle injury and did not return. Josh Norman filled in and would almost certainly start in place of Wallace if he misses further time. We'll see about Wallace's status this week.

Washington CB Josh Norman is active for today's game against the Lions. He's not an injury risk, but there had been reports Washington planned to leave Norman inactive after sitting him late in last week's loss to the Jets. It's tough to know exactly what role Norman will play, but his active status points to him remaining in the starting lineup.

Washington CB Josh Norman (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Lions. He was limited Friday, but that followed a pair of full workouts and playing through the issue in Week 11. Norman and Washington's other top 2 CBs did get pulled late in last Sunday's loss to the Jets. Interim HC Bill Callahan told the Washington Times afterward that he made the move because "they wanted to look at other players." Washington was down 20-3 entering the 4th quarter of that game and 27-3 less than 2 minutes into the 4th quarter. It would be tougher to justify pulling the starters in a closer game. We'll check Norman's status Sunday morning.

Washington S Montae Nicholson (ankle) is out for tonight's game against the Vikings. CB Josh Norman (thigh, hand) is active, though, after also arriving questionable. Norman's not a strong IDP option and doesn't significantly change the matchup for Vikings WRs Stefon Diggs or Olabisi Johnson.

Washington S Montae Nicholson (ankle) and CB Josh Norman (thigh, hand) are questionable for Thursday night's game against the Vikings. Each guy missed every practice of the week. CB Fabian Moreau saw full playing time with Norman out last week, while Jimmy Moreland played 55% as the 3rd corner. Troy Apke played a season-high 55% of the snaps, with Nicholson leaving early, and should play in Nicholson's place if the starter sits against Minnesota.

Washington CB Josh Norman (thigh) is inactive for today's game against the 49ers. Norman hasn't played very well this year, so his absence doesn't significantly alter the matchup. But it can only help the outlook for WR Dante Pettis.

NFL Network reports that Washington CB Josh Norman is expected to play Sunday against the Cowboys. He missed the past 2 games with a rib fracture and damage to the lining of 1 of his lungs. He's likely to shadow Cowboys WR Dez Bryant, who posted lines of 7-102 and 5-72 (on 19 combined targets) in 2 games against Washington last year.

Washington has ruled CB Josh Norman out for Monday night's game against the Eagles. The team had hoped to get Norman back from his rib injury but will play its 2nd straight game without him. Norman's absence doesn't matter much for IDP leagues, but it helps the fantasy outlook for Eagles lead WR Alshon Jeffery. The Philly wideout caught just 3 of 7 targets in the Week 1 victory at Washington, with Norman covering him most of the day. CB Bashaud Breeland (knee) and LB Mason Foster (shoulder) are questionable for the game.

Washington CB Josh Norman (concussion) is active for today's game against the Bengals in London. Look for him to shadow WR A.J. Green, who remains a fantasy must-start anyway.

ESPN's John Keim reports that Washington CB Josh Norman expects to play Sunday morning against the Bengals. Doctors have yet to clear Norman for the game, but he was allowed to travel with the team. As long as clearance comes over the weekend, he'll be available to IDP owners and boosting the team D outlook at least a bit.

Doctors have cleared Washington CB Josh Norman to travel to London with the team, according to ESPN's Adam Scefter. Norman has not yet been cleared to play in the game, though, so IDP owners hoping to use Norman will need to watch his status into the weekend.

Washington CB Josh Norman left Sunday's game with a concussion. He'll need to pass through the league protocol now before returning to action.

Washington has reached a deal with former Panthers CB Josh Norman. According to NFL Network's Albert Breer, it's a 5-year pact worth $75 million total, with $36.5 million fully guaranteed. The $15 million annual average will make Norman the league's highest-paid CB, while the guaranteed money falls about $2.5 million short of Darrelle Revis' most recent Jets contract. Assuming Norman continues to perform anywhere near his 2015 level, he'll go on hurting his own IDP value by not allowing enough completions to drive his tackle numbers. Norman's arrival should, however, help the IDP value of already useful CB Bashaud Breeland. He might also help buy a bit more time for a struggling Washington pass rush.

The Panthers on Wednesday rescinded their franchise tag on CB Josh Norman. That all but guarantees he'll sign with another team. It's clear the team wasn't willing to match Norman's asking price, but the market for corners this offseason -- Janoris Jenkins signed a 5-year, $62.5 million deal with the Giants -- suggests he'll get what he's seeking. We'll see who pays up and how the Panthers replace the league's top cover man for 2015.

The Panthers on Tuesday made the unsurprising move of placing the franchise tag on CB Josh Norman. The young corner emerged as 1 of the league's top cover men in 2015, to the point that it hurt his fantasy value after a hot start. Don't expect Norman to turn into an IDP asset unless he starts allowing more completions. Do expect Carolina to work hard on a long-term deal before the July deadline to agree on one. His continued presence can obviously only help the value of the Panthers' team D
