Broncos TE Julius Thomas (ankle) is listed as questionable after putting in 3 limited practices. Note that he was questionable last week but only put in 2 limited practices. Thomas seems to have a good chance to return for Sunday’s game against the Bills, but we might not know for sure until inactives are announced around 3 pm ET. Owners hoping to start Thomas should have a late-game backup option in place.

Broncos TE Julius Thomas (ankle) put in a limited practice on Wednesday.  He was limited last Thursday and Friday, but insider Jeff Legwold notes that Thomas was doing more on Wednesday.  We'll continue to track Thomas' progress leading up to this weekend's game against the Bills.

Broncos TE Julius Thomas (ankle) is inactive for tonight's game against the Chiefs.  Jacob Tamme will serve as Denver's lead pass-catching TE, but note that he played just 30% of the snaps and saw only 1 target with Thomas out last week.

It “doesn’t sound too promising” for Broncos TE Julius Thomas (ankle) to play against the Chiefs tonight, according to CBS’ Jason La Canfora. Thomas was listed as a limited participant in practice this week but didn’t do much. Fantasy owners are obviously in a tough spot with the late kickoff. If you have another top-10 option, we’d bench Thomas. If not, you can wait and roster Dion Sims, Jacob Tamme or Jeff Cumberland as a backup plan.

Broncos TE Julius Thomas (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s matchup with Kansas City.  He was a limited practice participant on Thursday and Friday and might be a game-time decision. Since the Broncos-Chiefs game doesn’t kickoff until Sunday night, fantasy owners should have a backup plan in place.  Jacob Tamme will draw the start if Thomas sits.

Broncos TE Julius Thomas (ankle) remained sidelined on Wednesday.  He's yet to practice since getting hurt 10 days ago.  Consider him 50-50 for Sunday night's game against the Chiefs.

Broncos TE Julius Thomas' (ankle) status for Sunday night's game against the Chiefs remains uncertain.  Insider Mike Klis believes that Thomas has a "chance" to play, but Thomas sounded iffy on Monday.  "I have had better days, and I have had worse days," he said. "You hope you just wake up one day and it feels good again, but that didn't happen last week. But it has improved."  We'll track Thomas' progress throughout the week.  He posted a 4-39-1 line against the Chiefs back in Week 2.

Broncos TE Julius Thomas (ankle) is inactive for today’s game against the Dolphins. His injury isn’t believed to be serious, so owners can tentatively expect him back for Week 13. Jacob Tamme will serve as Denver’s pass-catching TE today and is a fine Week 12 spot start.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that Broncos TE Julius Thomas (ankle) is a "true game-time decision" for today's tilt with the Dolphins. "Not even he knows if he's good to go," Rapoport adds.  It's a tough spot for fantasy owners with Denver-Miami kicking off at 4:25 pm ET.  If you're hoping to start Thomas, Jacob Tamme is your best insurance policy.  Other late-game fill-ins include Jared Cook, Niles Paul and Owen Daniels.

Broncos TE Julius Thomas (ankle) is questionable for this weekend's game against the Dolphins.  He was able to put in a limited practice on Friday after sitting out the previous 2 days.  He'll likely be a game-time decision, which puts fantasy owners in a tough spot with the 4:25 pm ET kickoff.  If you're hoping to use Thomas, you can roster Jared Cook, Niles Paul or Owen Daniels as insurance.

Broncos TE Julius Thomas (ankle) missed practice again on Thursday.  He'll probably need to get on the field tomorrow to have any chance of playing against the Dolphins this weekend.  For now, consider him less than 50-50 to play in that one.  If you're deciding between Thomas and Chiefs TE Travis Kelce tonight, go with Kelce.

Broncos TE Julius Thomas (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday.  He was at least able to get on the field for some stretching.  Thomas' injury isn't considered serious, but his status for this weekend's game against the Dolphins is certainly in question.  Check back tomorrow for another update.

Broncos insider Mike Klis confirms that the team has not ruled out TE Julius Thomas (ankle) playing against the Dolphins this Sunday.  Thomas was walking without a boot or noticeable limp on Monday, per Klis.  We'll keep a close eye on Thomas' progress throughout this week.

The Broncos are calling TE Julius Thomas "day-to-day" with the ankle injury he suffered in Sunday's loss to the Rams.  We still don't know the MRI results, but it sounds like they were encouraging.  Considering Thomas' history of ankle trouble -- including 2 missed games last season -- we still wouldn't consider him a lock to play against Miami this weekend.  We'll track his status over the next few days.

Broncos TE Julius Thomas suffered a sprained ankle in Sunday's loss to the Rams and will undergo an MRI on Monday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.  X-rays came back negative, and ESPN's Adam Schefter adds that Denver doesn't believe Thomas suffered a high-ankle sprain.  Remember, though, that he's had ankle trouble in the past, including a significant injury in 2011 that required surgery.  It's unclear if this is the same ankle.  We'll have another update on Thomas tomorrow.

Broncos TE Julius Thomas left with an ankle injury in the 2nd quarter of Sunday's game.  He's considered questionable to return.  We'll update his status when we learn more.

Update: Thomas has been ruled out for the rest of the game.

Broncos TE Julius Thomas revealed that he spent time with future Hall-of-Famer Tony Gonzalez this offseason.  "I picked his brain on, what are sort of the things you're looking for?" Thomas explained. "Not just technique, but what's going through your mind during plays? What do you focus on? How do you prepare for the day? His routine. Stuff you can only get from playing 17 years in the league. This is a guy who they've probably already started making his bronze statue."  Thomas admitted earlier this offseason that he's still working to get comfortable in the offense.  His pow-wow with Gonzo this offseason is another reminder that he's capable of building on last year's breakout campaign.

Broncos TE Julius Thomas expects to be used "more creatively" in 2014.  “I think there are a lot of things that our offense wanted to do with me, but you can only learn so much in one year," Thomas said.  "No matter how much time you have at practice, it never seems to be enough when you’re learning and trying to come into your own.”  Thomas recently admitted that he's still working to get comfortable with the offense.  Another offseason should allow Denver to line him up in different spots and have him run a wider variety of routes.  Thomas posted a monster 65-788-12 line last year but clearly has upside beyond that in 2014.

Broncos TE Julius Thomas admits that he's still getting comfortable in the team's offense. "Last year, I was able to do a lot of good things. I kind of survived on self-confidence and athleticism," Thomas explained. "There are still situations I haven't been in before, and I'm still learning what to do."  Remember that Thomas only played 1 season of college football.  He clearly hasn't reached his ceiling.  That -- coupled with WR Eric Decker's departure -- gives Thomas a chance to improve on last year's 65-788-12 line in 2014.

Denver landed Indiana WR Cody Latimer in the 2nd round of the draft.  At 6’2, 215 pounds with 4.4 speed, he’s a physical presence who catches almost everything in sight.  He’ll struggle for redraft value, as Demaryius Thomas, Wes Welker, Emmanuel Sanders and Julius Thomas already fill up the depth chart.  Latimer’s certainly an intriguing dynasty prospect, though.  He also has the NFL-ready skill set necessary to contribute if injuries strike.
