Broncos RB Justin Forsett carried 6 times and caught 3 passes among 3 targets in his debut with the team Sunday against the Titans. That beat incumbent Devontae Booker by 3 rushing attempts and 1 target. Forsett totaled just 35 yards against a weak Tennessee defense, so he's not close to helping your fantasy team. But his debut shows that you can't count on Booker (who totaled 11 yards) over the next few weeks either.
Broncos HC Gary Kubiak said Wednesday that RB Justin Forsett will play against the Titans this weekend. That's not a surprise considering Forsett has spent 2 seasons in Kubiak's offense. Kubiak added that the veteran will split work with RB Devontae Booker "like Kapri Bibbs did." Bibbs averaged just 5 carries over his last 5 outings. We're not expecting Forsett to see much more than that this weekend, although his role could grow if Booker continues to struggle.
The Broncos on Monday placed RB Kapri Bibbs (ankle) on IR and signed RB Justin Forsett. HC Gary Kubiak worked with Forsett in Houston in 2012 and in Baltimore in 2014, so there's familiarity here. The 31-year-old Forsett has looked washed up on his way to 3.1 yards per carry this season, though. He's no immediate threat to Devontae Booker but could see an increased role if the rookie continues to struggle. Booker has been held under 3.4 yards per carry in 5 straight games.
Lions RB Justin Forsett is a healthy scratch for today's game against the Vikings. RB Dwayne Washington is active after being scratched last week. Washington figures to operate as Detroit's #3 RB behind Theo Riddick and Zach Zenner and shouldn't be in fantasy lineups. But the talented rookie is worth monitoring.
Lions RB Dwayne Washington is inactive for today's game against the Texans. He wasn't listed on the final injury report, so this looks like a healthy scratch. Washington, for now, is behind Theo Riddick, Zach Zenner and Justin Forsett on the depth chart.
Lions RB Dwayne Washington (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Redskins after a limited week of practice. If active, he’d figure to share the backfield with Zach Zenner and Justin Forsett. Despite the plus matchup, Detroit’s backfield is best avoided this week.
Lions RB Dwayne Washington (ankle) is inactive for today’s game against the Rams. RB Theo Riddick (knee) is also out. That leaves Detroit with RBs Zach Zenner and Justin Forsett, who are expected to share the backfield work. Neither guy is an inspiring fantasy play in a running game that’s struggled all year.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Lions RB Dwayne Washington (ankle) won't play against the Rams today. RB Theo Riddick (knee) has already been ruled out. That leaves Detroit with RBs Zach Zenner and Justin Forsett, who are "expected to split carries," per Schefter. Zenner is the slightly better bet in non-PPR; Forsett gets the slight edge in PPR. But neither guy is more than a RB3 or flex option.
Lions RB Theo Riddick (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams. We don't have any details on his injury, but he didn't practice all week and might miss additional time. RB Dwayne Washington (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 6 after returning to a limited practice on Friday. If he plays, he'd figure to share the backfield with Zach Zenner and the newly signed Justin Forsett. Unless we get some clarity on this situation between now and kickoff, it's a situation best avoided.
Lions RBs Theo Riddick (ankle) and Dwayne Washington (ankle) both missed their 2nd straight practices on Thursday, casting doubt on their availability for this weekend's game against the Rams. Their absences would leave Detroit with RBs Justin Forsett and Zach Zenner. We'll have another update on the situation tomorrow.
The Lions have signed RB Justin Forsett. The 30-year-old was completely ineffective in 3 games with the Ravens, averaging 3.2 yards per carry and 3.3 yards per catch. That followed a 2015 that saw him muster just 4.2 yards per carry and 4.9 yards per catch. Forsett is simply out of gas. He's not a significant threat to RB Theo Riddick. And a healthy Dwayne Washington should also be ahead of Forsett on the depth chart.
The Ravens have released RB Justin Forsett, according to the Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiec. Forsett, turning 31 in a couple of weeks, is simply out of gas. He averaged 3.2 yards per carry and 3.3 yards per catch in the season's first 3 games before being a healthy scratch last week. Baltimore will move forward with Terrance West, Buck Allen and rookie Kenneth Dixon, who's expected to debut this Sunday.
Ravens RB Justin Forsett is a healthy scratch for today's game against the Raiders. He's been completely ineffective this season and can be dropped from fantasy rosters. RB Kenneth Dixon (knee) is also inactive, while RB Buck Allen is set to make his 2016 debut. Allen figures to play on passing downs, but Terrance West will serve as Baltimore's lead back.
Ian Rapoport reports that the Ravens will "bench" RB Justin Forsett against the Raiders in Week 4 and start RB Terrance West instead. We're not sure yet whether that means Forsett will be a healthy scratch or even remain active but not play. The 2 have split the backfield pretty evenly to date, and neither has been very effective. But this at least clears things up a bit if you're deciding between Ravens RBs for your Week 4 lineup. Barring some significant improvement in West's efficiency, however, this is a situation awaiting RB Kenneth Dixon.
