Seahawks SS Kam Chancellor is doubtful for Sunday after missing practice all week with a thigh bruise. Atari Bigby will start in his place, his 1st start since 2009 with Green Bay. Bigby was once a strong IDP bet with the Packers but hasn't been so in a while. He'll be risky until he proves otherwise.

Seahawks SS Kam Chancellor missed the 1st 2 days of practice this week with a thigh bruise suffered in Week 3. HC Pete Carroll said before Wednesday's workouts that his SS would get some rest during the week. We'll watch the injury reports into the weekend for an expectation on game readiness.

Asked about his anticipated role with the Seahawks, new signee S Atari Bigby said Wednesday he'll play special teams and perhaps see some spot duty on defense. "They told me that they have their starters," he told reporters. That's good news for 2nd-year man Kam Chancellor. Bigby, a 29-year-old former Packers starter, arrives for depth rather than a fight. That means Chancellor is set to fill the "thunder" role to FS Earl Thomas' "lightning." Seattle's D will spend plenty of time on the field, which could lead to Chancellor surpassing Lawyer Milloy's 2010 tackle total (88).

SS Kam Chancellor is impressing in his 1st camp as starter. The replacement for Lawyer Milloy is being called "thunder" in a "thunder and lightning" pairing with speedy FS Earl Thomas. Chancellor, at 6'3 and 230 pounds, can lay the wood and also cover. He'll certainly see some time in the box with Thomas fitting the ideal "centerfielder" role. Milloy notched 88 tackles (61 solo) and 4 sacks in the role last year.
