Washington has ruled out LB Keenan Robinson for Sunday's game against the Giants. That keeps LB Will Compton in place after he racked up 14 tackles (9 solo) against the Rams last week. It was just his 3rd start of the season, meaning that the 1st-year LB isn't a safe IDP option. But he carries plenty of upside in a favorable matchup and a position that has helped Robinson put up big tackle numbers this year.

Another deactivation for him would give Will Compton a 2nd straight start after the fill-in racked up 14 tackles (9 solo) vs. the Rams. Compton would be an upside IDP option in a favorable matchup with the Giants.

Washington LB Perry Riley sprained his left MCL in Monday night's loss to the Seahawks.  He'll have an MRI Wednesday to determine the severity of the injury, which reportedly has HC Jay Gruden worried.  Will Compton replaced Riley on Monday night.  His continued absence should add a little tackle upside to the other ILB starter, Keenan Robinson.

Washington LB Keenan Robinson is not only set to take over London Fletcher's starting MLB slot. The team expects him to all the plays in the defensive huddle as well, according to the Washington Post. That positions Robinson as a 3-down player despite missing his 1st 2 seasons with pectoral tears. Robinson said that he used the 2 years to learn "a lot of things -- veteran moves that were very helpful" from Fletcher. The situation sets Robinson up for some intriguing sleeper potential in the 2014 IDP rankings. We'll be watching the 3rd-year man this preseason.
