Titans WR Kenny Britt (ribs) is inactive for today's game against the Jets.  Rookie Justin Hunter should see more action, but look for WRs Kendall Wright and Nate Washington to dominate targets.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Titans are "open" to trading WR Kenny Britt, although they're not "actively shopping him."  It sounds like they'd deal him if an attractive offer presented itself.  Britt has been phased out of Tennessee's offense, ranking 3rd on the team with just 15 targets through 3 games.  Britt is a free agent this offseason, and the Titans have prepared for his departure by adding WRs Kendall Wright and Justin Hunter the last 2 years.  A change of scenery would be Britt's best chance at regaining fantasy value.

Titans WR Kenny Britt (neck, ribs) was limited in practice this week.  HC Mike Munchak admitted on Friday that Britt “still isn’t where he needs to be.”  He’s questionable for Sunday’s game against the Jets but shouldn’t be in fantasy lineups regardless.  Britt has just 5 catches for 43 scoreless yards through 3 games.  His absence would mean more targets for WRs Kendall Wright and Nate Washington – and an increased role for rookie WR Justin Hunter.

Titans WR Kenny Britt revealed that he suffered a "slight" rib fracture in last weekend's game against the Chargers.  “I could say Monday and Tuesday were my worst days. But I am feeling a lot better,” Britt said Wednesday. “I plan on playing through it. I plan on being at practice tomorrow actually.”  Rib injuries are tough to play through.  Britt isn't a fantasy option this week and is droppable if there's an intriguing name sitting on your waiver wire.

Titans WR Kenny Britt was held out of Wednesday's practice with "neck/shoulder/ribs soreness," per HC Mike Munchak.  Britt took a hard fall near the end of last weekend's game.  He's tentatively expected to play against the Jets this Sunday, but Britt isn't a fantasy option.  He has just 5 catches for 43 scoreless yards through 3 games.

According to Titans insider Jim Wyatt, WR Kenny Britt was benched in Week 2 "because coaches were tired of his mistakes and his lackadaisical approach to blocking."  Britt ended up playing 62 of 72 snaps, per Pro Football Focus, so it was a brief benching.  Still, Britt has been a massive disappointment so far, corralling just 5 of 10 targets for 43 scoreless yards.  Only the potential he flashed years ago has him hanging on fantasy rosters.

Titans WR Kenny Britt has missed the past 2 days of practice with swelling in his surgically-repaired knee.  It's the 2nd time this month that we've heard about problems with that knee -- and those are just the problems that have been reported.  Britt enjoyed a healthy spring but has been struggling with the increased work in training camp.  It's clear that he's still not at 100%.  Britt has just 5 catches for 58 yards in 3 preseason games.  He'll be tough to rely on as a fantasy starter to open the season.

Despite telling reporters Tuesday morning that his right knee felt "great," Titans WR Kenny Britt missed a 3rd straight day of practice.  We're not moving him in the WR rankings at this point, but we're certainly keeping an eye on a guy who missed 19 games over the past 3 seasons.  It'll be comforting if Britt plays in Saturday's exhibition game against the Bengals.  But even if he doesn't, there's still enough time to get right before the real games begin.

Titans WR Kenny Britt has missed the past 2 days of practice with soreness and swelling in his right knee.  It's the first negative report we've had on Britt's health all offseason.  The team reportedly isn't concerned about this issue, and Britt is expected to play in the 2nd preseason game on Saturday.  “We just have to be smart, because it is all about getting him to September,” HC Mike Munchak said.  “No concerns at all,” Britt said. “I wish I could be out there practicing with the fellas, but I am just taking a few days off and making sure I don’t have any setbacks.”  We'll keep an eye on this one.  Britt remains an injury risk but also carries plenty of fantasy upside.

The Tennessean reports that Titans rookie WR Justin Hunter is frustrating coaches by dropping too many passes, making mental mistakes on the field and playing passively.  Beat writer Jim Wyatt expects the team will need to be patient while developing the talented 2nd-rounder.  Hunter's issues only help to solidify Kenny Britt and Kendall Wright as the team's top 2 WRs.  Both look attractive in late-WR3 and early-WR4 territory of your fantasy football draft.

Titans WR Kenny Britt enjoyed a healthy spring.  He's remained that way through the 1st week of training camp.  "Kenny is running as well as he’s run," HC Mike Munchak said.  "He’s confident. He likes what we’re doing. Everything is plus, plus, plus with Kenny."  Britt is flying a bit under the radar right now.  His 12-team ADP is sitting at 8.08 as the 37th WR off the board. Britt remains an injury risk, but he has the potential to blow by that draft price.

The Titans were reportedly surprised by how healthy WR Kenny Britt was this spring.  The team had planned to limit his reps, but Britt "did more than expected and had no knee issues," according to insider Jim Wyatt.  We're not ready to go all-in on Britt just yet.  Durability remains a concern, and he'll need QB Jake Locker to take a leap forward.  But a healthy Britt remains an elite talent.  There's certainly upside here.  For what it's worth, Wyatt believes Britt is "poised for a big 2013."

Titans WR Kenny Britt has flashed elite ability over his first 4 NFL seasons.  But his career has been checkered by injuries and off-field trouble.  Now he's entering the final year of his contract with the Titans, who added 2nd-round rookie WR Justin Hunter.  It's a make-or-break year for Britt in Tennessee. “Every year is important to me, but this year it's important for me to come out and stay healthy,” he said. “I feel good. I feel like I'm in the best shape I've ever been in, so I'm excited about this year. I'm not going to worry about the contract, because that's for later. I'm just more worried about me staying healthy.”  Britt admits he was a step slow last year, when he was returning from a torn ACL and MCL.  But he's reportedly in top form now.  “I'm gonna be the receiver I was two years ago, and I'm probably gonna be even better than that because I've focused more on football than I ever have in my life the last few months," Britt said.  "I'm excited to see what I can do this year."  Britt remains a big-time risk/reward fantasy option.  But he's coming off the board in the 8th or 9th round in early drafts.  His upside makes him an intriguing dice-roll there.

The Titans traded up from 40th overall to 34th to nab Tennessee WR Justin Hunter.  Some draftniks view the lanky speedster as a better player than college teammate WR Cordarrelle Patterson.  With the Titans, Hunter can serve as insurance against WR Kenny Britt leaving in free agency after the 2013 season.  (Or perhaps the answer that Britt has yet to become.)  The presence of Britt and WR Kendall Wright will make it tough for Hunter to find consistent targets as a rookie.  He's a nice dynasty candidate but not part of the redraft picture.

It's been a quiet offseason for Titans WR Kenny Britt.  He's stayed out of trouble.  And more importantly, he's stayed healthy.  3 separate knee surgeries wrecked his 2012 campaign, resulting in a career-worst 13.1 yards per catch average.  But he's worked hard on his rehab this offseason.  “He came back and looked great during workouts," QB Jake Locker said on the team's first day of OTAs. “It sounds like he really got on his rehab and got his knee feeling a lot better and I’m really excited about how he came back.”  Britt could qualify as a post-hype sleeper in 2013.  He's always had top-end talent but has never been able to put it all together.  If he can stay healthy over the next few months, he'll be worth gambling on in the middle rounds of your fantasy draft.

A judge ruled Titans WR Kenny Britt not guilty of DUI in an incident that occurred at Fort Campbell Army post last July 20.  Britt was also found not guilty of violating an implied consent law when he refused a Breathalyzer test at the time.  Looks like Britt can finally avoid punishment in one of his many off-field incidents.  If he can stay clean between now and the season and then stay healthy once the games begin, perhaps he can finally stop letting us fantasy owners down.

When he's done playing football, Randy Moss is preparing to enter the world of talent evaluation.  Just a couple weeks after declaring himself the greatest WR in NFL history, Moss is weighing in on Tennessee's Kenny Britt.  “Britt is a young receiver who can get in that A.J. Green, Julio Jones mix if he wants to, and does the things to make it happen," Moss opined. "But his is more mental than it is physical. I hope it works out for him because he is quite a talent. That guy could be special.”  Moss is actually dead-on here.  Britt has the size, speed, and overall athleticism to be an elite WR.  But he's had trouble staying healthy on the field and out of trouble off it.  He'll be a guy worth tracking closely this offseason.  If he can keep his nose clean and his knees healthy, he'll return in 2013 fantasy drafts as a guy with top 10 upside.
