Titans HC Jeff Fisher announced that WR Kenny Britt will play Sunday against the Eagles, but that he won't be in the starting lineup.  “Without all the information this close to the ballgame I’m going to go ahead and allow Kenny to play,” Fisher said. “I’ll continue to gather information, and if I feel like disciplinary action needs to be taken, I’ll do it next week.”  This situation could be similar to when the Jets benched WR Braylon Edwards for 1 quarter after his DWI.  With Britt's playing time in question -- and QB Kerry Collins under center -- he's only a desperation fantasy play this week.

Titans HC Jeff Fisher hasn't decided whether or not WR Kenny Britt will play Sunday against the Eagles.  “I haven't ruled out the possibility of him not playing. It really depends on the information I'm able to obtain before kickoff. That's really all I can say,” Fisher said.  "My understanding is that this point is that he was at the wrong place at the wrong time, that there was an altercation and that he was one of those that was trying to break it up. That's my understanding right now, and I'm still gathering facts."  There's a good chance Britt is deactivated, and he could also be suspended for the 1st quarter or the 1st half.  You're better off leaving him on your bench this week.

Harold Pointer, the man who was involved in the fight with Titans WR Kenny Britt early Friday morning, says there's "a good chance" he presses charges.  “According to witnesses, Britt began striking Pointer," Metro Police spokesman Don Aaron said. “Security at the club as well as a witness then pulled Britt off [Pointer]."  Pointer said he went to the hospital and received 4 stitches over his left eye.  Commissioner Goodell isn't going to look kindly upon this one.  It's still unclear if Britt will play this Sunday against the Eagles.

Multiple sources are reporting that Titans WR Kenny Britt was involved in a fight at a night club early Friday morning.  He's not expected to face chargers, but there's always a chance of an NFL suspension.  We'll update this story when we learn more.

Titans WR Kenny Britt broke out for 86 yards and a score against the Cowboys on Sunday.  And QB Vince Young liked what he saw out of his 2nd-year WR.  "A lot of people fall asleep on the guy," V.Y. said of Britt. "He's so explosive. He has great speed. He can run like a horse out there."  Britt should quickly emerge as Young's top option in the passing game.  He should be rostered in all leagues.

Titans WR Justin Gage suffered a hamstring injury on Sunday that kept him out for the entire 2nd half.  We'll learn more about the severity of the injury over the next couple days.  If Washington isn't ready for Week 5, WR Kenny Britt would draw the start.

10:30am EDT 9/8/10

Titans HC Jeff Fisher called out WR Kenny Britt after the 2nd-year player's horrible performance in the team's preseason finale.  And it looks like that may have been the wake-up call Britt needed.  "I have to focus more and not let outside things distract me,'' Britt said. "My expectation is to be better than last year."  Talent isn't a problem for Britt -- he has plenty of it.  If he can keep his head in the game, he should quickly emerge as Tennessee's #1 WR.  But for now, leave him on your bench.

Titans WR Kenny Britt dropped two passes and was flagged for a false start penalty in the team's 4th preseason game Thursday night.  He finished the game with 1 catch for 7 yards.  Despite clearly being the most talented WR on Tennessee's roster, it looks like Britt will open the season #3 on the depth chart.  We just nudged him down our rankings, but we still expect him to enter the starting lineup early in the season and post decent WR3 totals.

Titans WR Nate Washington admitted Wednesday that a wrist injury suffered back in June still bothers him. "It is just pain," Washington said. "HC (Jeff) Fisher has done a good job of getting me the reps I need to get and keeping me out of the ones that might hurt it. I just have to get treatment, and like I have said before, football is a game of nicks and pains and you have to play through them.” Washington’s bum wrist shouldn’t boot him from a starting role, but it’s something to monitor. We still think Kenny Britt – albeit inconsistent and frustrating – remains the WR to own in Tennessee.

After sitting out Friday's sessions with a hip flexor injury, Titans WR Kenny Britt was back on the field today.  This is pretty surprising considering Britt said yesterday that the injury could potentially sideline him for a number of weeks.  We think  the early return has something to do with Britt realizing that his starting job may not be so concrete after a terrible offseason.  We'll be keeping an eye on the injury.

Titans WR Kenny Britt's miserable offseason continued on Friday when a sore hip kept him out of practice.  "I don’t understand it. It’s not even something I did on the field," Britt said. "I just woke up with it (Thursday). It was a little sore and then I ran around, aggravated it some more during (Thursday’s) practice. So they’re just giving me some time off to see how I do."  It doesn't seem like a serious issue, and Britt's hoping to get back on the field on Saturday.  We love this guy's upside -- and we really love his value in the 10th-round of fantasy drafts -- but he needs to get things turned around quickly here.  He's still 3rd on the depth chart behind WRs Justin Gage and Nate Washington.

Titans WR Kenny Britt continues to run with the 2nd-team offense in training camp. And with that, “Question Mark” continues to live up to his nickname. "There just has to be more consistency to what he does,” OC Mike Heimerdinger said. “He can't be on for one play and make something spectacular happen, and then off for four plays. He's got to work on the consistency and that's not happening yet.” Despite the struggles, we expect Britt to get his head screwed on tight at some point in camp. And as the Titans likely go-to option in the passing game, he holds solid value with a 10th-round ADP.

Titans WR Kenny Britt owned up to the issues surrounding his work ethic and his consistency on the practice field. "I can't be dropping balls out there for no reason. I know I have to focus a lot better," Britt said. "So I am disappointed in myself, but I am not getting down, I am getting on myself to get better, and that is going to be on my mind the whole month of July. Even though everyone is going to be on vacation, this has to be my grinding time. I want to be the guy everyone can count on.'' It’s nice to see him recognize the issue, but we’ll see if he looks any better come training camp. Despite the struggles, Britt is a nice value in fantasy drafts with an ADP in the late 9th-round.

After a disappointing offseason, Titans WR Kenny Britt has to work his way back up the depth chart.  He hasn't been running with the 1st-team during OTAs, getting on the field after WRs Justin Gage, Nate Washington, and Lavelle Hawkins.  Britt is by far the most talented pass-catcher on the roster, so we still fully expect him to be the team's #1 WR by opening day.

10:55pm EDT 5/13/10

Titans WR Kenny Britt was held out of last month's minicamp because he wasn't in game shape.  But he's back in action this week after working with strength and conditioning coach Steve Watterson.  Britt admitted that he was lazy this offseason and called the "benching" by HC Jeff Fisher a "wake-up call."  Britt is by far the team's most talented WR and should emerge as their #1 option in the passing game this season.

11:57pm EDT 5/3/10

Titans WR Kenny Britt is not taking part in the team's minicamp this week because he's out of shape.  Earlier this month, HC Jeff Fisher expressed frustration with Britt's "inconsistent" attendace at offseason training sessions.  It's not the kind of news you like to hear about a 2nd-year player.  Britt is trying to build on last season's 701 yards and 3 scores.  He's currently sitting 3rd on the depth chart behind Justin Gage and Nate Washington.  He's easily more talented than both but will need to show more commitment to move into the starting lineup.

Titans HC Jeff Fisher says that WR Justin Gage (back) will get his starting job back once he's healthy.  That'd push WR Kenny Britt back to #3 on the depth chart.  While Gage would likely start the game on the field, Britt would still see plenty of playing time, so it's nothing to be concerned about.  Gage returned to a limited practice on Wednesday but isn't likely to return this weekend.  Britt will start against the Colts.

Titans rookie WR Kenny Britt started tonight's game in place of a hobbled Nate Washington.  And he took full advantage of the opportunity, hauling in 4 balls for 85 yards.  His 1st catch came in the 2nd quarter when Britt did a nice job to tap 2 feet in on a 15-yard grab down the right sideline.  Later in the 2nd frame, Britt picked up 57 yards on a blown coverage.  He was targeted 6 times.

Titans rookie WR Kenny Britt -- who missed a week of camp and didn't play in the team's preseason opener due to a hamstring injury  -- is expected to play in Tennessee's 2nd preseason game Saturday night.  “I feel I’m more in the game plan. I’m just trying to feel of how everything works,” Britt said. “I was a little slow coming in and out of my breaks, but that was just coming back and getting used to running around again.”  The rookie has a chance to win the team's #3 WR spot, but we'd only recommend drafting him in dynasty or keeper leagues.
