The Titans on Sunday placed rookie LB Rashaan Evans on the non-football illness list as they opened training camp for all rookies, QBs and players who finished the offseason program with injuries. We've seen nothing further about Evans' illness, so we'll assume it's not a big deal. He's eligible to come off the list at any point during camp. Tennessee also placed 3rd-year OLB Kevin Dodd on the "reserve -- did not report" list. That follows Dodd unexpectedly sitting out offseason workouts. The former 2nd-round pick has appeared in just 18 games through 2 seasons and tallied only 1 sack. We'll see if his future holds any NFL relevance.

The Titans on Wednesday activated rookie OLB Kevin Dodd from the PUP list. The 2nd-round pick had been out since surgery on his right foot in late May. We wouldn't bet on Dodd pushing for a starting role this season, but he should factor into the edge rotation. Tennessee tied for 12th in the league with 39 sacks last year but could use a boost in that area.

Titans rookie OLB Kevin Dodd had surgery Thursday for a stress fracture in his right foot, according to The Tennessean. The team reportedly called it a preventative measure, ostensibly to keep the injury from getting worse. The Titans expect to have him back for training camp. IDP owners shouldn't expect big things from Dodd right away even if his foot's not an issue. He'll start out behind OLBs Derrick Morgan and Brian Orakpo on the depth chart. Dodd makes for a decent option in dynasty rookie drafts with IDPs, and his presence should help the Tennessee pass rush even before he's a starter.

The Titans chose OLB Kevin Dodd with the 2nd pick of Round 2 in the NFL Draft. Dodd played DE in college but figures to get the LB designation thanks to Tennessee's 3-4 base. Dodd started for just 1 season at Clemson after DE Vic Beasley got drafted in 2015, but he delivered 12.5 sacks and 24 total tackles for loss in that 1 season. He could open in a rotation with Brian Orakpo and Derrick Morgan, but both are 29 or older. A DL designation would help Dodd's IDP value more, but he'll be an interesting option toward the middle of dynasty rookie drafts.
