49ers WR Richie James (ankle) is active for tonight's game against the Packers. So it'll be James, Trent Taylor, Kevin White and River Cracraft at WR for San Francisco. Taylor is the best bet of the bunch but is just a low-upside WR3.

Bears WR Allen Robinson (groin) is not expected to play against the Jets today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "The hope is a week off gets him right.," Rapoport adds. Robinson's absence leaves Taylor Gabriel, Anthony Miller, Kevin White and Josh Bellamy as Chicago's top 4 WRs. It should also mean a few extra targets for RB Tarik Cohen and TE Trey Burton.

The Bears selected Memphis WR Anthony Miller with the 51st overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft. Few WRs were more productive over the past 2 seasons. Miller racked up 95 catches for 1,434 yards and 14 TDs in 2016, finishing top 10 in the country in all 3 categories. Then he set new career highs across the board last year with 96 catches, 1,462 yards and a nation-high 18 TDs. And he was efficient, ranking 4th among all draft-eligible WRs in Pro Football Focus’ yards per route run. Miller wasn’t able to test at the Combine but earned an 87th percentile SPARQ score at his Pro Day. So you’re probably asking, “why wasn’t this dude a 1st-round pick?” Well, he’s smallish at 5’11 and 201 pounds. He’s already 23 years old. And he suffered a Jones fracture in his right foot in his final college game — an injury that has a tendency to cause long-term problems. That said, a healthy Miller looks capable of winning at all areas of the field and as an outside or slot receiver. He’s a long shot to assume #1 duties in Chicago with Allen Robinson in town. But Miller only needs to beat out Kevin White and Taylor Gabriel for the #2 role in an ascending offense. This is a nice landing spot.

Bears HC John Fox confirmed on Monday that WR Kevin White is headed to the IR with a fractured scapula suffered in Week 1. It sounds like he's done for the season (and not a candidate for the "designated-to-return" spot). White will be 26 years old and have played in just 5 NFL games when the 2018 season kicks off. His dynasty stock is fading fast. Chicago is now left with Kendall Wright, Markus Wheaton and Deonte Thompson at WR. We could see TEs Zach Miller and Dion Sims and RB Tarik Cohen play big passing-game roles the rest of the way.

The Bears believe WR Kevin White suffered a broken scapula (shoulder blade) in Sunday's loss to the Falcons, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. That'd send White to injured reserve and likely end his season. If that's the case, White will have played just 5 games through 3 NFL seasons. It'd also leave the Bears with Kendall Wright, Markus Wheaton, Deonte Thompson and Josh Bellamy at WR.

Bears WR Kevin White was ruled out after injuring his shoulder in the 2nd half of Sunday's game against the Falcons. He hauled in just 2 of 4 targets for 6 yards before exiting. Stay tuned for an update.

Bears WR Markus Wheaton (finger) is inactive for today’s game against the Falcons. He put in limited practices on Thursday and Friday and might be ready for Week 2. Kevin White and Kendall Wright will serve as Chicago’s top 2 WRs today.

Bears WR Markus Wheaton (finger) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Falcons. He put in limited practices on Thursday and Friday after missing virtually all of training camp — first after an appendectomy and then with a broken finger. Wheaton shouldn’t be in your Week 1 fantasy plans, but his presence would ding Kevin White and Kendall Wright’s target projections.

Bears WR Markus Wheaton (finger) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. It gives him a shot to play in this weekend's opener against the Falcons. Wheaton isn't a fantasy option, but his presence would ding WRs Kevin White and Kendall Wright's outlooks.

The Bears have released WR Victor Cruz. The writing was on the wall when the veteran suited up for Thursday night's preseason finale. Turning 31 in November and with a plethora of leg injuries behind him, Cruz has very little left in the tank. He remains off the redraft radar. Chicago's WR depth chart now reads: Kevin White, Kendall Wright, Deonte Thompson, Josh Bellamy. WR Markus Wheaton is expected to miss another week or 2 with his finger injury.

Fox Sports' Pam Oliver reports that the Bears believe WR Cameron Meredith suffered a torn ACL in Sunday's preseason game against the Titans. It certainly looked like a season-ending injury when it happened. We've already removed Meredith from the WR rankings. His absence gives former 1st-round pick Kevin White a massive opportunity as Chicago's #1 WR. He needs to stay healthy and play with more consistency, but White is worth a shot as a WR4 with plenty of upside.

Bears WR Cameron Meredith injured his left knee in the 1st half of Sunday's preseason game against the Titans. With his foot planted in the ground, the knee was bent severely inward. It had the look of a serious injury. Meredith was fitted with an air cast on the field and carted off. We'll update his status when we learn more, but don't draft him in the meantime. His absence will leave Kevin White as Chicago's #1 WR, with Kendall Wright, Markus Wheaton and Victor Cruz behind him.

Bears WR Kevin White had a disappointing training camp, according to the Chicago Sun-Times' Mark Potash. "At this point it remains to be seen if White still has the speed and other skills that made him the No. 7 pick of the 2015 draft. We just don’t see it out there," Potash writes. The former 1st-rounder went catch-less in Chicago's preseason opener. White retains theoretical upside thanks to his size/athleticism combination and opportunity in Chicago, but we've yet to see or hear anything this summer to suggest that he'll cash in on it.

Bears WR Kevin White is "back to full speed," according to the Chicago Tribune's Rich Campbell. White has missed 28 of 32 games over his first 2 NFL seasons with leg injuries. He spent the early portion of this offseason reteaching himself to run with proper alignment and technique, per Campbell. But White's now on to sharpening his route running. "We've been working on that hard, some of his breaking-point stuff," WRs coach Zach Azzanni said. "A lot of times when you're a big guy like that, stopping and change of direction is hard." White remains a major question mark but has tons of opportunity in 2017 on a Bears team without an established #1 WR. He's a fine shot to take at his current 12th-round ADP.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that the Bears have agreed to a 1-year deal with WR Kendall Wright. The former 1st-round pick spent his 1st 5 seasons with the Titans and displayed promise through 3 of them. Wright lost 11 games to injuries over the past 2 years, though, and totaled just 65 receptions over that span. He joins a Bears offense that ran Cameron Meredith primarily from the slot over the 2nd half of last season -- to surprising success -- and still has slot man Eddie Royal on the roster. Royal carries a $5 million salary for 2017, though, and the Chicago Tribune reported earlier this month that the team is is expected to release him. At this point, we'd slot Wright behind Kevin White and Meredith for fantasy -- in an offense unlikely to support 3 worthwhile fantasy wideouts. It's worth noting, at least, that Wright played under Bears OC Dowell Loggains when Loggains piloted Tennessee's offense in 2013. Wright produced career highs in receptions (94) and receiving yards (1,079) that season and ranked 20th among PPR receivers.

Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune gave a Monday update on the Bears' 1st-round pick from last year: "As it stands, as I understand #Bears WR Kevin White is not going to return from IR this season. So, it's going to be [CB Kyle] Fuller or no one." That followed a tweet in which Biggs said the team will evaluate Fuller to see if he's ready to return from IR. Each team can designate only 1 player to return from IR during a given season. Fantasy owners likely weren't counting on White for any further production this season, but take note if you're been stashing the youngster in an IR slot. Fuller, by the way, doesn't carry much IDP intrigue right now but could help the team D.
