Chargers TE Virgil Green (quad) is out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. With TE Hunter Henry (knee) also out, L.A. is down to TEs Sean Culkin and Lance Kendricks. We only mention this because of the matchup vs. Miami. Culkin and Kendricks would be desperation fantasy plays.

Packers TE Jimmy Graham suffered a broken thumb in Thursday night's loss to the Seahawks, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The team is still trying to determine how much time Graham will miss, but this is obviously a significant injury for a guy who makes his living catching passes. We'd try to hang on to Graham in fantasy for now, but he's droppable if you're desperate for a roster spot. Lance Kendricks will step in as Green Bay's lead pass-catching TE for however long Graham is out but isn't a great fantasy option.

Packers TE Jimmy Graham suffered a thumb injury in the 1st half of Thursday night's game in Seattle and is officially questionable to return. TE Lance Kendricks is next up on Green Bay's depth chart.

The Packers on Saturday reached a deal with former Rams TE Lance Kendricks. That came a day after the team signed TE Martellus Bennett to a 3-year deal. Kendricks proved to be a reliable, low-ceiling part of the Rams offense through his 1st 7 seasons. His arrival doesn't challenge Bennett's spot atop the Green Bay depth chart. It does suggest the Packers aren't in love with Richard Rodgers. He and Kendricks could be fighting for a 2017 roster spot. Bennett's the only member of the crew worth your fantasy football attention

The Rams released TE Lance Kendricks late Thursday night. Kendricks had spent all 6 of his NFL seasons with the team, totaling 204 catches and 17 TDs while averaging a pedestrian 10.5 yards per catch career. His departure clears the way for 2016 rookie Tyler Higbee to take over the lead TE spot for the Rams. Higbee averaged 15.5 yards per reception over his college career and caught 12 TDs over his final 2 seasons.

Rams WR Tavon Austin (chest) is inactive for today’s game against the Patriots. Rookie Pharoh Cooper figures to get some run in the slot but shouldn’t be in fantasy lineups. WR Kenny Britt and TE Lance Kendricks are the best bets for targets.

Rams TE Tyler Higbee is QB Jared Goff's "on-field BFF," according to's Steve Wyche. (That's "best friend forever" for those of you without young daughters.) The rookies are also training-camp roommates and hooked up 3 times for 35 yards in the preseason opener. Higbee has been getting 1st-team reps in training camp and is talented enough to push TE Lance Kendricks for the lead pass-catching role. He's not quite a redraft option yet, but try to get your hands on Higbee in keeper and dynasty leagues.

Rams TE Tyler Higbee is already getting 1st-team reps in training camp, according to the Los Angeles Daily News' Vinny Bonsignore. "The skill-set is there to be a match-up nightmare for smaller linebackers and safeties," Bonsignore adds. Higbee dropped to the 4th round of this spring's draft because of an assault arrest but was considered a 2nd-round talent by some. His competition for the starting TE spot is the mediocre Lance Kendricks. Higbee isn't worth a roster spot in redraft leagues just yet, but we're keeping a close eye on him.

Rams TE Lance Kendricks left in the 3rd quarter of today's game against the Cardinals for concussion testing. He hasn't been a fantasy factor when healthy, and the Rams' terrible pass offense can't do enough for a potential Kendricks absence to make TE Jared Cook attractive in fantasy.

Update: Kendricks has been diagnosed with a concussion.

Rams TE Lance Kendricks returned to practice Wednesday.  He sat out the Week 10 contest with a fractured finger before last week's bye.  HC Jeff Fisher indicated, however, that the TE should play against Chicago on Sunday.  "It’s not an issue blocking," Fisher said, per "He’s made some catches, so yeah I’m sure he’ll be fine."  Kendricks isn't much of a fantasy option and could also cut into the already-uninspiring value of TE Jared Cook.

Rams TE Lance Kendricks (finger) didn't practice all week and is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Colts.  His absence should mean a few extra targets for TE Jared Cook.

Rams TE Lance Kendricks fractured a finger in Sunday's loss to the Titans.  The team's not yet sure whether it'll cost him any games.  "We're just doing some tests right now to see what the best way to go about to either cast it or repair it," HC Jeff Fisher told  "There's a chance that he may miss some time. How much, I don't know." Kendricks is a fringe fantasy option in deep leagues at best.  No huge loss if he sits out.  And actually, his absence could help push a couple more targets Jared Cook's way.

Adam Caplan reports that the Rams have signed TE Jared Cook after all. (That news comes after a Jason La Canfora imposter "broke" the news on Twitter earlier in the afternoon.) Cook adds speed to the interior of the Rams' passing game, which could present a dangerous combo with 2nd-year WR Chris Givens. Cook had trouble learning the offense over 4 years in Tennessee, though. He also displayed inconsistent hands. Of course, Rams HC Jeff Fisher originally drafted Cook there. So he knows what he's getting. The talent boost can only help QB Sam Bradford, but the team still needs a reliable target to convert 3rd downs. TE Lance Kendricks is now staring at a much lower ceiling. He kinda brought that on himself, though, with a pair of uninspiring seasons to begin his career. Cook still looks like a fringe starting option in fantasy football leagues. His best shot at a value boost might be to claim the mantle of primary red-zone option for Bradford.

The Rams' official website highlights TE Lance Kendricks as a potential breakout candidate in 2012.  "Early indications from the team’s Organized Team Activities and minicamps are that Kendricks figures prominently in [OC Brian] Schottenheimer’s offense," insider Nick Wagoner writes.  Kendricks reportedly lined up as a traditional TE, at fullback, and split out wide in offseason workouts.  A popular late-round fantasy sleeper last summer, Kendricks was a big-time disappointment.  He figures to come cheaper in drafts this year, though, and he still has the athleticism to make a fantasy impact.

Rams new OC Brian Schottenheimer is a fan of TE Lance Kendricks.  "We really liked Lance back in New York when we looked at him,” the former Jets OC said. “I think he’s got a chance to be a terrific all-around player."  Kendricks drew rave reviews last summer before struggling through a drop-filled rookie campaign.  He looks like an intriguing post-hype sleeper in 2012 though.  Kendricks still brings a tasty blend of size (6'3, 247 pounds) and speed (4.57 40-time) to the table.  And Schottenheimer's offense helped TE Dustin Keller average 53 catches and 640 yards per season over the past 4 years.  Kendricks is worth a look with one of your last few picks in fantasy drafts this summer.

Rams TE Lance Kendricks (concussion) was medically-cleared and practiced all week.  He'll play against the Cardinals this weekend but isn't a fantasy option.  The rookie hasn't topped 21 yards in a game since Week 6.

Rams TE Lance Kendricks sustained a concussion on a helmet-to-helmet hit during Sunday's game against the Seahawks.  He'll need to pass his baseline tests to play against the Cardinals this weekend.  Kendrick's 21 yards yesterday were his most since Week 6.  He's not a fantasy option.

Rams TE Lance Kendricks has been diagnosed with a sprained foot.  That's usually a multi-week injury (as Darren McFadden owners know), so don't expect Kendricks to play Week 10.  With just 2 catches in his last 3 games, he's off the fantasy radar.

Rams TE Lance Kendricks left Sunday's game against the Cardinals with a foot injury.  He hobbled to the sidelines and was then carted back to the locker room.  He won't be back today.
