The Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiec believes Ravens TE Maxx Williams still isn't at 100% after undergoing offseason knee surgery. He avoided the PUP list and was active for the preseason opener, catching 1 pass for 3 yards. We'll keep an eye on his progress, but Williams isn't worth drafting right now. Zrebiec told us that the current pecking order at TE for Baltimore is: Nick Boyle, Ben Watson, Williams, Larry Donnell.

Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore is out for the season following knee surgery. Gillmore underwent a procedure to repair his MCL. Baltimore is down to Ben Watson, Maxx Williams, Nick Boyle and Larry Donnell at TE. It’s a situation to avoid in fantasy leagues.

The Ravens have signed TE Larry Donnell. Averaging 8.8 yards per catch for his career, Donnell is no better than a replacement-level talent. There's opportunity in Baltimore's Dennis Pitta-less TE corps, though. Donnell will compete with Maxx Williams, Ben Watson and Nick Boyle for playing time. (Crockett Gillmore hurt his knee on Friday.) We'll keep an eye on this battle, but the winner will be no more than a low-end TE2 in fantasy.

Giants TE Larry Donnell (concussion) practiced all week and is not listed on the team's final injury report. He'll resume sharing TE duties with Will Tye against the Ravens this weekend, making both guys poor fantasy bets.

Giants TE Larry Donnell (concussion) is out for Sunday night's game against the Packers. That leaves Will Tye as New York's clear lead TE. He hauled in 4 of 6 targets for 43 yards last week and is on the spot-start radar vs. Green Bay's 28th-ranked TE defense.

Giants TE Larry Donnell sustained a concussion in the 1st half of Monday night's game when he took a massive shot from LB Anthony Barr. We'll see if Donnell's absence makes TE Will Tye relevant.

Giants HC Ben McAdoo says the team is expecting a "big jump" from TE Will Tye this season Tye went undrafted out of Stony Brook last year but boasts 4.6 speed and was impressive over the 2nd half of 2015. He tallied 32 catches for 368 yards and 3 TDs in his final 8 games, ranking 9th among TEs in non-PPR points and 8th in PPR. The biggest hurdle between Tye and TE1 production this season is the presence of Larry Donnell and Matt LaCosse, who have been splitting 1st-team work with Tye in training camp. We'll see if Tye can separate from the pack over the next month.

Giants TE Larry Donnell (neck) has been placed on IR.  He's been out since Week 9.  After a breakout 2014 campaign, Donnell's numbers dropped across the board this season.  He finishes with a 29-223-2 line in 8 games.  Will Tye will serve as New York's lead TE the rest of the way.  He's hauled in 14 balls for 200 yards over his past 3 games but remains a low-upside TE2.

Giants TE Larry Donnell (neck) is out for Sunday’s game against the Jets. TE Will Tye gets another start after totaling 11 catches and 130 yards over the past 2 weeks. He remains just a desperation fantasy play, though.

Giants TE Larry Donnell (neck) is out for this weekend’s game against the Redskins. Will Tye will continue to serve as New York’s lead TE but isn’t a recommended fantasy play.

Giants TE Larry Donnell (neck) will "likely" miss this weekend's game against the Redskins, per insider Ralph Vacchiano.  Donnell had an MRI earlier this week, and the results weren't good.  "Obviously something is wrong," he said Wednesday.  Will Tye will continue to serve as New York's lead TE.

Giants TE Larry Donnell (neck) told reporters Monday that he's been medically cleared and feels 100% healthy.  He should be back for this weekend's game against the Redskins.  Donnell missed New York's last 2 outings and totaled just 8 catches for 69 scoreless yards in the 3 games before that.  He's just a TE2.

Giants TE Larry Donnell (neck) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Patriots.  He resumed running this week and has a shot to be ready after the Week 11 bye.  Backup TE Will Tye saw 6 targets with Donnell out last week but caught just 2 for 19 yards.  He'd be a desperation fantasy play.

Giants TE Larry Donnell (neck) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bucs.  Consider him week-to-week.  Will Tye and Jerome Cunningham will handle TE duties for the G-Men this week.  Neither guy is a fantasy option.

Giants TE Larry Donnell (neck) did not practice on Wednesday.  HC Tom Coughlin labeled him "week-to-week or day-to-day," which doesn't help us at all.  Fantasy owners can't be counting on Donnell for Week 9.

According to Giants HC Tom Coughlin, TE Larry Donnell suffered muscle spasms in the shoulder/neck area during Sunday’s game in New Orleans. Donnell was injured in the 1st half and didn’t return to the game. Still, Coughlin’s insight suggests this isn’t a serious ailment. If active, Donnell would be just a TE2 for this week’s matchup in Tampa Bay.

Giants TE Larry Donnell injured his neck in the 1st half of Sunday's game.  He went back to the locker room and is officially questionable to return.

The Giants released their initial depth chart Monday, which found TE Larry Donnell listed behind TE Daniel Fells. Perhaps Donnell just has yet to climb past Fells after missing time this spring for an Achilles' injury. But's Jordan Ranaan points out that Donnell slipped behind Fells on the depth chart late last season. Pro Football Focus graded Fells much higher in run-blocking, where Donnell struggled. Fells played just 20 fewer run-blocking snaps for 2014 than Donnell despite playing 455 fewer snaps overall. It's too early to give up on Donnell, but this at least makes him a shakier fantasy football draft option at 1 of the deepest fantasy positions. We'll be watching him in the preseason games to see if anything changes.

Giants TE Larry Donnell is ready for the start of training camp, according to insider Jordan Raanan.  Donnell missed some time this spring with an Achilles injury that dates back to college.  It's a situation worth monitoring but isn't a concern for now.  Donnell posted a 63-623-6 line and 11th-place PPR finish on 92 targets last year.  That volume might dip in 2015 with WR Victor Cruz's return and RB Shane Vereen's arrival, but Donnell is still a nice value at his 13th-round ADP.
