Jaguars DT Marcell Dareus (elbow) is out for today's game against the Chiefs. He put in limited practices all week, so we'd guess he'll be back for Week 2.

The Bills have traded DT Marcell Dareus to the Jaguars for a conditional 2018 draft pick. The selection is reportedly a 6th-rounder that could become a 5th-rounder depending on Dareus’ performance. The move also frees cap space for Buffalo. Jacksonville adds even more talent to an already-loaded D-line. We’ll see if he can garner enough snaps to become an IDP option. Buffalo’s team D doesn’t lose anything. Dareus’ role had already decreased significantly this season. Dareus played under Jaguars HC Doug Marrone when Marrone piloted the Bills in 2013-14

The Bills have ruled DT Marcell Dareus out for Sunday's game against the Broncos with an ankle injury. That hurts the Buffalo D-line, but the unit remains an upside play for DFS tournaments.

Bills DT Marcell Dareus missed Wednesday's practice with an ankle injury. HC Sean McDermott said he's "concerned" that Dareus might miss Sunday's game against Denver, according to the Buffalo News. Dareus played just 17 snaps in the Week 2 loss at Carolina. Even at full strength in Week 1, though, Dareus played a smaller share of snaps than in any of the games he played last year. Dareus is only worth hanging onto right now in IDP leagues that play with DT-specific slots.

The Bills sent DT Marcell Dareus home before Saturday's game against the Ravens because of a team rules violation. "Sean and I are going to do things the right way," GM Brandon Beane said, while refusing to specify details. "He violated a team rule, so we sent him home. Disappointing." IDP owners shouldn't worry unless Dareus continues to stay away from the team into next week.

Bills OLB Lorenzo Alexander (ankle) and DL Marcell Dareus (abdomen) are active for today's game against the Raiders. Use either as you normally would in IDP formats. Use particular caution with Alexander, though, as the injury adds risk in an already negative matchup for a pass rusher.

Bills OLB Lorenzo Alexander (ankle) and DL Marcell Dareus (abdomen) are questionable for Sunday's game at Oakland. Alexander missed practice Wednesday before taking part in limited workouts Thursday and Friday. It's a new injury from Week 12, and Alexander faces 1 of the league's worst pass-rushing matchups in the Raiders. He should be out of IDP lineups this week. Dareus put in limited practices all week and should be ready to play. He's a low-level fantasy option.

Bills DL Marcell Dareus (groin) and OLB Jerry Hughes (hand) are active today against the Bengals. Hughes has been playing through his injury for several weeks, despite the consistent "questionable" designation. Dareus will appear in just his 2nd game of the season but carries IDP upside against a Bengals pass rush that has had shaky times this season.

Bills DL Marcell Dareus (groin) and OLB Jerry Hughes (hand) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals. Both players put in limited practices all week. Hughes has been playing through his issue. Dareus has made it into just 1 game this year, sitting out the Week 9 trip to Seattle. We'll check on their statuses Sunday.

The Bills have ruled DT Marcell Dareus out for Monday night's game in Seattle after a groin injury that basically cost him the whole practice week. Dareus got on the field Friday, but HC Rex Ryan told reporters he was "very limited." Dareus has played just 1 game this season thanks to suspension and then 2 injuries. Buffalo has also deemed OLBs Lorenzo Alexander (hamstring) and Jerry Hughes (hand) questionable. Alexander looks iffier after starting the practice week on the sideline. The Bills also have rookie OLB Shaq Lawson to spell Alexander even if he's active.

Bills DL Marcell Dareus (hamstring) will finally make his 2016 debut today against the Patriots. He lost 3 games to a hamstring injury after serving a 4-game drug suspension to open the season. OLB Jerry Hughes (hamstring) is also active after entering today questionable. Both make for iffy, low-level IDP options.

Bills DL Marcell Dareus (hamstring) and OLB Jerry Hughes (hamstring) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Each guy put in limited practices all week and seems on track to play. Dareus told reporters early this week that he'd be making his debut this week after missing his 1st 3 games back from suspension. We'll check on their status Sunday morning.

As expected, Bills DL Marcell Dareus (hamstring) is inactive for the 3rd straight game today with a hamstring injury. Buffalo will have DL Kyle Williams (neck), however, after he entered the weekend questionable.

Bills DL Marcell Dareus is doubtful once again for Week 7 with the hamstring injury that has dogged him since his return from the 4-game suspension. He sat out practice all week and thus doesn't look particularly close to returning to full strength. Bills DL Kyle Williams is questionable, as well, after showing up on Thursday's injury report with a neck issue. He put in limited workouts Thursday and Friday. The defense did, however, get a potential boost this week by activating rookie OLB Shaq Lawson (shoulder) after he opened the season on the PUP list. We'll see what kind of role Lawson's ready to play in his 1st NFL action.

Bills DL Marcell Dareus is doubtful for Sunday's game with the hamstring injury that sidelined him Week 5. The Buffalo D fared just fine without him in L.A. and remains a top fantasy option at home against the Niners this week.

Bills DL Marcell Dareus will miss at least 1 more game. He's inactive for today's game against the Rams because of a hamstring injury suffered in practice this week. The Buffalo team D remains a decent fantasy play.

The Bills list DL Marcell Dareus as questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams. He's dealing with a hamstring injury in his return from a 4-game substance-abuse suspension to open the year. “We’ll see how it is. We’ll find out later how he responds,” HC Rex Ryan said, per ESPN's Mike Rodak. IDP owners should leave Dareus out of lineups for this week. Dareus' return can only help Buffalo's team D going forward, though.

Tim Graham of the Buffalo News reports that Bills DL Marcell Dareus is facing a 4-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy. We'll see if the veteran appeals (which we're assuming he will) and where that process goes. But IDP owners should proceed as though Dareus will miss a quarter of the NFL season. If he carries DT eligibility in your league that requires a starter at the position, then an already shallow pool takes a hit. Otherwise, we're just talking about a DL3 sliding down the rankings. For non-IDP leagues, a Bills defense trying to rebound from a horrid 2015 takes an even bigger hit than it did in losing rookies DE Shaq Lawson and LB Reggie Ragland to injuries. With games at Baltimore, home vs. the Jets and Cardinals and then at New England to start the year, Buffalo doesn't make for an attractive fantasy draft target.
