The Saints have agreed with S Marcus Maye to a 3-year, $28.5 million deal with $15 million guaranteed. With Malcolm Jenkins still under contract, Maye looks like the replacement for Marcus Williams. That's a downward move for his IDP value, as Williams posted weak tackle numbers in New Orleans.

Jets S Marcus Maye limped off the field in the 2nd half of Thursday night's loss to the Colts, and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the team fears he suffered a torn right Achilles' tendon. "It's not looking good," HC Robert Saleh said after the game. Assuming that injury is confirmed -- as they almost always are -- Sharrod Neasman looks like the next man up in the Jets secondary.

Jets S Marcus Maye looks ready to go for Sunday's game against the Patriots. He sat out the past 2 games with an ankle injury but returned to practice coming off the bye. He finished the week with 2 full workouts and carries no injury status into the game. We've had Maye high in our Week 7 DB rankings in anticipation of his return.

Jets LB C.J. Mosley missed practice Wednesday with a hamstring injury. HC Robert Saleh told the team website that he hopes Mosley will be able to play Sunday against the Patriots. We'll keep an eye on the veteran's status throughout the week. Elsewhere on the defense: The Jets don't expect to activate LB Jarrad Davis (ankle) off IR this week. That keeps Quincy Williams in the starting lineup and an upside spot for tackle collection. S Marcus Maye returned to practice Wednesday after missing the past 2 games with an ankle injury. it's not yet clear, though, whether he'll be ready for Sunday's game, according to the team website.

Jets HC Robert Saleh said Monday that it the chance he gets S Marcus Maye and LB Jarrad Davis back for Sunday's game against the Patriots "looks promising." Maye missed the past 2 games with an ankle injury. Davis has been on IR since the start of the season following an August ankle injury. We'll keep an eye on their statuses this week. Maye was a full-timer through the 1st 3 weeks and would be a risk/reward IDP option if he's in the Week 7 lineup. We'd try not to use Davis in what will be his 1st game with the Jets.

Jets S Marcus Maye is expected to miss the next 3-4 weeks with an ankle injury, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Jarrod Wilson looks like the next man up, though the Jets are also getting S Ashtyn Davis back from IR this week. We'll see about the replacement plan at safety.

The Jets announced Friday that S Marcus Maye has opened training camp on the non-football injury list. DT Quinnen Williams landed on the active/PUP list. Williams' designation isn't surprising after his foot fracture in early May. It's not clear what Maye's issue is. We'll see how soon each starter gets activated.

The Jets have used the franchise tag on S Marcus Maye. That comes a year after they traded away S Jamal Adams for a package that included 2 first-round picks. Maye has played more than 1,000 snaps in 3 of his 4 seasons with the team and improved his Pro Football Focus coverage grade each year. He finished 2020 ranked 6th among safeties in overall PFF grade. Maye's fantasy production proved merely pedestrian after a huge opener at Buffalo, but there will be upside to him if you can get him in DB3 range in 2021.

The Jets on Tuesday placed LB Harvey Langi on IR with a neck injury, ending his season. That removes the guy who had been starting next to Neville Hewitt inside. Bryce Hager looks like the next guy up, but we can't recommend trusting him in Week 16 IDP lineups vs. Cleveland. The continued onslaught of injuries to the Jets defense likely boosts the tackle upside of S Marcus Maye.

Jets S Marcus Maye is active for today's game at Buffalo. He was listed as questionable with calf and ankle injuries but appears ready to go. Maye likely carries some re-injury risk, however. So don't bump him too high up your DB hierarchy.

The Jets have ruled LB Avery Williamson out for Sunday's opener at Buffalo. Williamson is dealing with a hamstring injury that kept him out of practice Thursday and Friday. S Marcus Maye is questionable for the game. He's listed with calf and ankle injuries. Maye missed practice Thursday before returning to a limited Friday workout. We'd try not to use him in IDP lineups even if he's active Sunday.

Jets S Marcus Maye (thumb) is active for today's game against the Bears, as is CB Morris Claiborne (shoulder). Both entered the day questionable. Neither makes for a strong IDP option.

Jets S Marcus Maye will miss at least 3 weeks after fracturing his right thumb in Sunday's win over the Colts, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini. S Doug Middleton started the 1st 3 games in place of an injured Maye this season, but Terrence Brooks replaced Maye in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game. We'll see what the fill-in plan looks like come Week 7. IDP owners need not track this situation too closely, though.

Jets S Marcus Maye (ankle) is active for today's game against the Colts. It's the 3rd straight time he'll play through a questionable tag. Maye's a low-level IDP option.

The Jets have ruled CB Buster Skrine (concussion) out for Sunday's game against the Colts. Fellow CB Trumaine Johnson is doubtful with a quad injury. That will likely leave the defense without 2 of its top 3 corners, which can only help Andrew Luck and crew. S Marcus Maye (ankle, foot) is also questionable for the 3rd straight game. He played through it the past 2 weeks and put in limited practices this week.

Jets S Marcus Maye (ankle) is active for today's game against the Broncos. That'll mean a 2nd straight start after he missed the season's 1st 3 games. He's not much of an IDP option, though.

The Jets have ruled top CB Trumaine Johnson (quad) out for Sunday's game against the Broncos. He suffered the injury in Thursday's practice and then sat out Friday. S Marcus Maye is questionable after putting in limited practices all week. He played through the same questionable tag in Week 4 after missing the 1st 3 games. We'll see about Maye's status Sunday.

Jets S Marcus Maye is inactive for tonight's game against the Lions because of a foot injury. He shouldn't have been in your IDP plans anyway. If he was and you need a fill-in, potential options include Lions DBs Tavon Wilson and Quandre Diggs.

The Jets spent their 2nd pick of the NFL Draft on Florida S Marcus Maye. He, of course, joins 1st-round S Jamal Adams, who should fill more of the SS role. Maye didn't do anything exciting stat wise in college and will need to prove he's worth our attention in IDP fantasy football leagues.
