Bills RB Marcus Murphy has been placed on IR with his dislocated elbow. RBs LeSean McCoy (hamstring) and Chris Ivory (shoulder) both seemed reasonably close to playing last week. If neither is ready for Sunday's game against the Patriots, Keith Ford would serve as Buffalo's lead back. He carried 14 times for 46 yards and caught his long target for 7 yards in yesterday's win over the Lions.

Bills RB Marcus Murphy suffered an arm in the 2nd quarter of Sunday's game against the Lions and is doubtful to return. He'd been operating as Buffalo's lead back, carrying 11 times for 35 yards. With LeSean McCoy and Chris Ivory inactive, the Bills are down to Keith Ford.

Bills RBs LeSean McCoy (hamstring) and Chris Ivory (shoulder) are inactive for today’s game against the Lions. That leaves Marcus Murphy as Buffalo’s likely lead back. The 5’9, 195-pounder has averaged 5.2 yards per carry on 41 attempts this season and hauled in 11 of 19 targets but for just 26 yards. We’d expect him to get 12-15 touches today, putting him in play as a desperation RB3 or flex. Recent practice squad call-up Keith Ford will serve as the #2 RB.

Bills RB LeSean McCoy (hamstring) won't play against the Lions today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. We'll see if RB Chris Ivory is able to play through his shoulder injury. If not, Marcus Murphy would be left as Buffalo's lead back. We'll get the official inactives at 11:30 am ET.

Bills RB LeSean McCoy is considered "day-to-day" with the hamstring injury he suffered in yesterday's loss to the Jets. We'll see if the 30-year-old tries to play through the issue for the 4-9 Bills. Buffalo also lost RB Chris Ivory to a shoulder injury yesterday, leaving Marcus Murphy as the only healthy RB on the roster.

Bills RB LeSean McCoy (ribs) is inactive for today’s game against the Vikings. That leaves Buffalo’s backfield to Chris Ivory and Marcus Murphy. Neither is a recommended fantasy play.

Bills RB LeSean McCoy (ribs) will "push" to play today, but "the likelihood is he’ll have to wait until next week," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "He's in a lot of pain," Rapoport adds. We'll find out McCoy's official status by noon ET, but he should be on fantasy benches now. His absence would leave Buffalo's backfield to Chris Ivory and Marcus Murphy. Neither is a recommended fantasy play.

ESPN's Adam Schefter calls Bills RB LeSean McCoy "questionable" for Week 3 after suffering cracked rib cartilage in Sunday's loss to the Chargers. "McCoy should not miss more than one game, if that," Schefter adds. We'll track his practice participation this week. If McCoy is out, Buffalo would be down to RBs Chris Ivory and Marcus Murphy. This whole backfield is best off avoided this week in a brutal matchup against the Vikings.

Bills RB LeSean McCoy suffered fractured ribs in Sunday's loss to the Chargers, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. McCoy will reportedly try to play through the issue against the Vikings in Week 3. So a matchup that already looked terrible now includes further downside risk for McCoy. Through 2 games, Marcus Murphy ranks 2nd among Bills RBs in rushing attempts (9, to McCoy's 16). Chris Ivory has carried 5 times for 10 yards and the team's lone rushing TD.

UPDATE: Tests on McCoy' ribs Monday morning revealed no fracture, according to Rapoport. So it sounds like he's just dealing with a bruise. It's an injury McCoy should be able to play through.
