Cardinals RB Maxx Williams suffered a right knee injury in the 2nd quarter of Sunday's game against the 49ers. This one looked bad, with Williams taking a helmet directly to the inside of the knee. Stay tuned for updates.

Cardinals TE Maxx Williams (shoulder) is active for today’s game vs. the 49ers. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday and was listed as questionable. Williams should be ready to play his usual role today but is a fringe fantasy option.

Cardinals TE Maxx Williams (shoulder) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the 49ers. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. Williams is a fringe fantasy option at 100%, so we'd stay away from him this week.

The Cardinals have signed TE Maxx Williams. The 55th pick of the 2015 NFL Draft totaled just 63 catches across his 4 seasons in Baltimore. Williams just turned 25, though, so it's too early to bury him. Arizona has now added 3 TEs this offseason: Williams, Charles Clay and rookie Caleb Wilson. Ricky Seals-Jones also returns. We'll see how the situation sorts out this summer.

Ravens TE Hayden Hurst is undergoing foot surgery on Friday to repair a stress fracture in his foot. He'll have a screw inserted to stabilize the area. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports that Hurst is expected to miss 3-4 weeks, but that sounds very optimistic to us. Foot injuries tend to be extremely tricky -- and we often see setbacks and/or compensatory issues pop up. Hurst seemed set to play a significant role in Baltimore's passing game, but this news should knock him out of your draft plans. Baltimore will open the season with some combination of Nick Boyle, Maxx Williams and rookie Mark Andrews at TE. None of them are worth picks in your fantasy draft. Hurst's absence should just mean more targets for WRs Michael Crabtree and John Brown.

Ravens TE Maxx Williams (ankle) is out for Sunday morning’s game in London. He caught all 4 of his targets last week, so his absence does give TE Ben Watson a slight boost.

The Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiec believes Ravens TE Maxx Williams still isn't at 100% after undergoing offseason knee surgery. He avoided the PUP list and was active for the preseason opener, catching 1 pass for 3 yards. We'll keep an eye on his progress, but Williams isn't worth drafting right now. Zrebiec told us that the current pecking order at TE for Baltimore is: Nick Boyle, Ben Watson, Williams, Larry Donnell.

Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore is out for the season following knee surgery. Gillmore underwent a procedure to repair his MCL. Baltimore is down to Ben Watson, Maxx Williams, Nick Boyle and Larry Donnell at TE. It’s a situation to avoid in fantasy leagues.

The Ravens have signed TE Larry Donnell. Averaging 8.8 yards per catch for his career, Donnell is no better than a replacement-level talent. There's opportunity in Baltimore's Dennis Pitta-less TE corps, though. Donnell will compete with Maxx Williams, Ben Watson and Nick Boyle for playing time. (Crockett Gillmore hurt his knee on Friday.) We'll keep an eye on this battle, but the winner will be no more than a low-end TE2 in fantasy.

Ravens TE Maxx Williams (knee) has avoided the PUP list and is ready for the start of training camp. He underwent a reportedly rare knee surgery this offseason, but it looks like that'll be a non-issue going forward. Baltimore's starting TE spot is wide open following the loss of Dennis Pitta. Williams, Ben Watson, Crockett Gillmore and Nick Boyle are all in the mix.

Ravens HC John Harbaugh revealed that TE Maxx Williams had knee surgery. Harbaugh deemed it a procedure no other football player has had. Williams went down in Week 4 last year and was subsequently placed on IR. But we never got any details on his injury -- and still don't have them. Harbaugh did say that Williams "should be ready for camp." Coming off a 0-catch season and knee surgery, though, he's off the redraft radar for now.

The Ravens have placed TE Maxx Williams (knee) on IR. That knocks him out for at least the next 8 weeks. We still don't have any details on the injury he suffered in the 1st half of last Sunday's game. Williams has yet to catch a pass this year after collecting 32 as a rookie. He obviously doesn't belong on any redraft rosters.

Update: Rapoport adds that Williams' injury is season-ending.

Ravens TE Maxx Williams suffered a knee injury in the 1st half of Sunday's game against the Raiders and will not return. The 2nd-year TE has yet to catch a ball this season and shouldn't be on redraft rosters.

Ravens TE Dennis Pitta will start today's opener against the Bills, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. This could be more of a "ceremonial start" for a guy coming off 2 major hip injuries and seeing his 1st action since 2014. TEs Maxx Williams and Crockett Gillmore still figure to be involved. Stay away from this situation in Week 1 fantasy lineups.

Ravens TE Dennis Pitta sprained his finger during Monday's training camp practice and will be out "a little while," HC John Harbaugh said. That won't help Pitta's chances of carving out a role (or making the team?) in a crowded TE group that also includes Ben Watson, Maxx Williams and Crockett Gillmore. Pitta remains off the fantasy radar.

Ravens insider Jeff Zrebiec believes TE Dennis Pitta could be a "significant contributor" this season after an impressive spring. He "was one of the more active and productive offensive players for the past couple of weeks," Zrebiec writes. "Pitta is moving well and caught just about everything thrown in his direction." Pitta missed the last 2 seasons with major hip injuries and turns 31 at the end of June. We're in "believe-it-when-we-see-it" mode, especially with Baltimore's crowded TE corps.

Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore has resumed running routes and taking part in individual drills at OTAs.  He's ahead of schedule in his rehab from surgery to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder.  “If it was up to me, I’d already be doing everything,” Gillmore said. “I should be back for training camp for sure. We’re going to try to push it and see if I can go for minicamp.”  Gillmore is part of a deep Baltimore TE corps that also includes Ben Watson and Maxx Williams.  They'll likely cannibalize each other's production, leaving all 3 as unreliable fantasy options.
