The Vikings on Saturday placed S Michael Griffin on IR with a back injury. That clears the way for S Andrew Sendejo to continue starting next to S Harrison Smith. ESPN reports that Griffin plans to get a 2nd opinion on his back. There's a chance he could gain release from the Vikings and be free to sign elsewhere, but odds stand against him proving fantasy-relevant for IDP owners in 2016.

The Vikings will sign former Titans S Michael Griffin, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Look for the team to create some sort of rotation after re-signing SS Andrew Sendejo for $16 million over 4 years. Harrison Smith certainly figures to be play full time. Griffin had flashes of nice IDP production in Tennessee but didn't rate well as a coverage player. We'll see how Minnesota sorts out this group.

The Titans will have CB Jason McCourty (hamstring) and S Michael Griffin (knee) in the lineup today against the Texans. Griffin was probable and expected to play. McCourty had been questionable. The hammy still makes him a risk, but you can use him as you normally would in your IDP league.

Titans S Michael Griffin will miss today's game against the Falcons with a knee injury. That's no huge loss to the Tennessee pass D or IDP owners.

The Titans list S Michael Griffin as questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons. Griffin started the week on the sideline before seeing limited practice time with a knee injury. He'll carry some upside if active but isn't worth waiting on unless you play in a deep IDP league.

As expected, Titans S Michael Griffin is active and starting against the Jets today despite dealing with a back injury during the week. He progressed to a full practice Friday and looks fine to use in your IDP lineup as you normally would. The matchup only adds to Griffin's fantasy upside this week.

Titans S Michael Griffin is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets because of a back injury. Griffin put in a full practice Friday, though, after missing Wednesday's workout and returning for a limited Thursday practice. We'd bet on Griffin playing Sunday. The 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff means that you'll need to wait to make sure he's active, but teammate George Wilson can serve as an insurance option for your IDP lineup. Other late-game insurance DBs include Jets S Jaiquawn Jarrett, Lions S Glover Quin and Cowboys S J.J. Wilcox. Check our Week 15 DB rankings for the best available DBs for your matchup.

Titans S Michael Griffin is active for today's game against the Texans. He had been questionable after a shoulder injury limited his practice time all week. But the Tennessee safety put up big numbers in his 1st meeting with Houston this year and makes for a good IDP start again this week.

Titans S Michael Griffin is officially questionable for Sunday's rematch with the Texans after a shoulder injury limited his practice time this week. But Terry McCormick of Titan Insider reports that Griffin says he'll play. Assuming that proves true, he'll make for a strong IDP option.

The league has suspended Titans S Michael Griffin 1 game following his illegal hit Sunday that knocked out Raiders TE Mychal Rivera.  It was his 2nd such hit this season and 4th since 2011.  Pro Football Talk reports that Griffin plans to appeal, and he might have a good chance at overturning after Bucs S Dashon Goldson won appeal on his 1st league suspension for illegal hits this year.  Even if Griffin has to sit, though, his absence shouldn't hurt IDP lineups or the Titans' D.

As rumored, the Titans applied the franchise tag to S Michael Griffin on Monday. Griffin is solid but far from indispensable. Tennessee likely tagged him over CB Cortland Finnegan because of the more palatable guaranteed salary. The S tag ($6.2 million) costs $4.4 million less in 2012 salary than the CB tag. Finnegan, meanwhile, will be allowed to test free agency.
