Bengals TE Tee Higgins aggravated the ankle injury that had him questionable coming into Sunday night's game vs. the Ravens. He's officially questionable to return but barely played in the 2nd quarter. Higgins owners might be left with a goose egg in this one. WR Mike Thomas is filling in for Higgins.

The league has suspended Rams WR Mike Thomas for the 1st 4 games of 2017 for violating the PED policy. Thomas caught just 3 passes among 9 targets as a rookie. He hadn't garnered much attention in early fantasy football drafts this year and has yet to generate much buzz since entering the league. But the Rams' wide-open WR corps presents opportunity to just about all of their wideouts. He'll have to hope the group falters over the season's 1st month.

Colorado WR Nelson Spruce signed with Los Angeles as an undrafted free agent. It's a decent landing spot, as the Rams lack veteran WR depth. They did, however, add Pharoh Cooper (Round 4) and Mike Thomas (Round 6) over the past 2 days. Spruce is a reliable target standing 6’1, 206 pounds. He exits college with a jaw-dropping 189-2142-15 line over the last 2 years. Spruce isn’t exactly a burner, so we’ll see if he can separate from NFL DBs. At best, he looks like a long-term #3 WR.

The Rams selected WR Mike Thomas in the 6th round of the 2016 draft. A Combine snub, Thomas ran a 4.53-second 40-yard dash with a 36-inch vertical at 6’1 and 200 pounds. He spent 2012 and 2013 in community college and didn’t break out at Southern Miss until this past season. Thomas’ 14 TDs ranked 5th in the country, and his 1,391 yards were good for 7th. He had some of the best highlight-reel plays in this WR class thanks to his speed and ball skills. Despite being a 6th-round pick, this guy has the potential to emerge as a fantasy factor. He could quickly climb the depth chart in Los Angeles’ weak WR corps.
