Eagles ILB Mychal Kendricks on Monday signed a 4-year extension with the team. ESPN's Adam Caplan reports that it's worth $29 million, with $16.4 million guaranteed. The new deal solidifies Kendricks' standing with the team after an offseason that found him in the middle of rampant trade rumors. Rumor had it HC Chip Kelly didn't see Kendricks as a key piece moving forward. That's clearly not the case now. We ignored the rumors while projecting Kendricks in our 2015 IDP rankings, and his position looks even stronger now.

Eagles ILB Kiko Alonso returned to practice Tuesday after 2 weeks out with a concussion. He took part in individual drills but sat out the team portion. Per multiple reports, HC Chip Kelly said he'd bring Alonso along slowly this week. Alonso said after practice that he'd like to play in Saturday's exhibition game but doesn't know if he will. ILB Mychal Kendricks also returned to limited practice Tuesday after missing a week with an unspecified injury.

Geoff Mosher of CSN Philly reports that Eagles LB Mychal Kendricks says he has been able to do everything in practice this week. Kendricks added, "That's a fair assessment," when asked if we should assume that he'll start Sunday. The ILB returned to game action last Sunday for the 1st time since suffering a calf strain back in Week 2, but he played less than 50% of the Eagles' snaps. There remains some risk to playing him this week, but the potential reward with this cross-category producer will make him worth using for many IDP owners. We've bumped Kendricks way up the Week 9 IDP rankings.

Eagles LB Mychal Kendricks played just 23 of 73 defensive snaps against Arizona on Sunday, his 1st game back since a Week 2 calf strain. HC Chip Kelly on Monday called that roughly their "ceiling" for him heading into the game. We can certainly expect that number to rise going forward, but consider Kendricks a risky IDP option against the Texans in Week 9 because of the playing-time question.

Eagles LB Mychal Kendricks is active for today's game against the Cardinals. It'll be his 1st game since suffering a calf strain back in Week 2. Kendricks will be a bit risky for IDP owners until he shows he can make it through a game, but he also carries enough cross-category upside to be worth the gamble for many fantasy football teams.

Eagles LB Mychal Kendricks is officially questionable for Sunday's game at Arizona after putting in another limited practice Friday. He has been with the team all week after announcing his return to action via his personal website at the beginning of the week. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, however, "some of his teammates" said Thursday that they don't expect the ILB to be ready for the game. We'll obviously track his gameday status. Unfortunately, the late afternoon kickoff will likely mean many IDP owners need to go in a different direction. That might be best anyway, given that it would be Kendricks' 1st game action since Week 2.

Eagles LB Mychal Kendricks said via his website Monday that he plans to return to practice this week, which would seem to put him on track to play Sunday at Arizona. Kendricks hasn't returned to the field since suffering a calf strain late in the Week 2 win over the Colts. His healthy return would give IDP owners back a potential top-10 performer. We'll be watching his status.

Eagles LB DeMeco Ryans is officially questionable for Sunday night's clash with the Giants because of the groin injury he suffered in Week 5.  The veteran said he expects to play, though we'd try to find a safer option to go in IDP lineups -- especially considering the late kickoff for the Eagles game.  Philly will once again miss other ILB Mychal Kendricks, who has yet to return since suffering a calf injury in Week 2.

Eagles LB Mychal Kendricks will miss his 3rd straight game in Week 5 because of a calf injury he suffered vs. the Colts back in Week 2.  The Eagles have used several players to fill his role inside -- including rookie OLB Marcus Smith -- but all make for significant downgrades.  Kendricks had been turning into 1 of the Eagles' best defensive players.  That makes him worth keeping around in any IDP format where you an afford the roster spot.  Kendricks' continued absence helps the fantasy upside of ILB DeMeco Ryans in an already-favorable matchup with the Rams.

Eagles ILB Mychal Kendricks missed practice all week and will sit out his 2nd straight game Sunday with a calf injury.  The Eagles have used several players to try to fill in for him, but missing 1 of the team's best defenders obviously hurts a team D that was already shaky.

The Eagles have ruled out ILB Mychal Kendricks for Sunday's game against Washington because of the calf injury he suffered against the Colts.  Kendricks missed practice all week and seemed headed for a missed game.  Philly will start either Emmanuel Acho or Casey Matthews in Kendricks' place and also expect to play rookie OLB Marcus Smith inside in some situations.  None is an IDP option this week.

The Philadelphia Daily News reports that the Eagles have deemed LB Mychal Kendricks "day-to-day" with the calf injury that knocked him out late in Monday night's win over the Colts.  Kendricks sat out practice Wednesday and doesn't seem likely to take the field much -- if at all -- during the practice week.  DC Bill Davis said Casey Matthews and Emmanuel Acho will compete to start in Kendricks' place if he can't go against Washington in Week 3.  We'll keep an eye on his status, but IDP owners should plan to be without Kendricks this week.

Eagles LB Mychal Kendricks reportedly left the stadium Monday night with a heavy limp after sustaining a calf injury late in the win over the Colts.  He indicated after the game that he didn't think it was serious, but HC Chip Kelly told the Philadelphia Daily News on Tuesday that Kendricks is getting an MRI on the injured muscle.  He also said it's too early to gauge Kendricks' Week 3 availability.  We'll keep an eye on the status of a player who has looked like he's ready to become an IDP stud.  If Kendricks misses time, LB DeMeco Ryans gains tackle upside.  The terrible Casey Matthews would likely start in Kendricks' place.

Eagles ILB Mychael Kendricks left in the 3rd quarter of Monday night's win over the Colts with a right calf injury.  Kendricks limped off the field and to the locker room but moved mostly under his own power.  Let's hope that's a good sign.  Casey Matthews stepped in and stunk in Kendricks' place.  Kendricks has opened this season looking like a top-shelf fantasy LB, so IDP owners would feel his absence if he misses time.

Update: Kendricks said after the game that he expects to play in Week 3.

The Eagles will not have LB Mychael Kendricks or CB Bradley Fletcher against Washington this week.  Kendricks hurt a knee in last week's win at Green Bay.  Fletcher will miss his 2nd straight game with a pectoral strain.  The defense is also missing rookie S Earl Wolff, who was ruled out earlier this week.

Eagles LB Mychael Kendricks (knee) returned to practice Friday after missing workouts the previous 2 days.  He joins CB Bradley Fletcher on the "questionable" list for Sunday's clash with Washington.  Fletcher (pec strain) put in limited practices all week.  Kendricks and LT Jason Peters were listed as full participants Friday, but the Eagles typically go with a light walkthrough to finish the week.  If you hope to use Kendricks or Fletcher in your IDP lineup for Week 11, you'll have to keep an eye on the Sunday morning inactives.  We'll certainly be tracking and updating.

Eagles GM Howie Roseman told a radio audience Monday that S Earl Wolff will likely miss more than 1 game with his Week 10 knee injury.  LB Mychal Kendricks escaped an ACL tear, though, and isn't expected to be out as long.  The team doesn't yet know whether he or LT Jason Peters will miss Washington's visit this Sunday.  IDP owners should plan as though Kendricks will be out.  Missing Peters certainly wouldn't help the offense, but we don't see that forcing a significant downgrade for QB Nick Foles, RB LeSean McCoy or any of the receivers.

The Eagles have lost LB Mychal Kendricks and S Earl Wolff for the rest of Sunday's clash with the Packers.  Both players suffered 1st-half knee injuries and will not return.  We'll check on their statuses heading into Week 11.  Kendricks has scored like an IDP starter in recent weeks after a slow start to the season.

The Eagles' website reports that LB Mychal Kendricks "is tailor-made for this defense and set up to excel."  Philly is expected to blitz Kendricks more and leverage his speed in man coverage against TEs.  Kendricks delivered 11.5 sacks over his final 2 seasons at Cal and displayed his versatility by playing well at multiple LB positions.  His speed, ability to cover deep and pass-rushing flair make Kendricks a stronger bet than teammate LB DeMeco Ryans to stay on the field for every down.  We've moved Kendricks up our LB rankings and see breakout potential in the 2nd-year Eagle.
