The Falcons have ruled S Keanu Neal out (hamstring) for Monday night's game at Green Bay. Atlanta will also be without S Ricardo Allen (elbow), leaving Damontae Kazee as the only active safety among the Falcons' top 3. That can only hurt a defense that has already been weak, further enhancing the matchup for the Packers passing game.
Falcons DE Dante Fowler (ankle) and DE Takk McKinley (groin) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Bears. McKinley missed practice all week and looks like a bad bet to play. Fowler missed the first 2 days before returning for a limited Friday. Neither should be in your IDP lineups, if you can help it. Elsewhere on the Atlanta defense, S Ricardo Allen (elbow) is out and LB Foye Oluokun (hamstring) is questionable. Oluokun missed Wednesday's practice but returned for limited workouts the past 2 days. There's upside to him in deeper IDP leagues, but obvious re-injury risk with the hamstring.
Falcons FS Ricardo Allen tore his left Achilles' tendon in Sunday's loss to the Saints and will miss the rest of the season. That leaves Atlanta's defense without both of its starting safeties, after SS Keanu Neal suffered an ACL tear in Week 1. Jordan Richards played 32% of the snaps against New Orleans and looks like the next guy up. The Falcons also recently signed former Bucs S Keith Tandy and could shift Kemal Ishmael back from LB. We'll see about their plan over the coming week.
Falcons S Ricardo Allen will miss Sunday's game against the Texans with a sprained MCL. That's generally a multiple-week injury, but Allen returned to last week's game after hurting his knee in the 2nd quarter. We'll see about his timeline. Atlanta could turn to Kemal Ishmael or Undrafted rookie Robenson Therezie in Allen's absence.
