Bears K Robbie Gould is inactive for tonight's game against the Saints.  Jay Feely will handle kicking duties again for Chicago.  He went 2-of-3 on XPs last week and didn't attempt a FG.

Bears K Robbie Gould was held out of Tuesday's practice with a sore groin.  "We’ll just see where he is tomorrow," HC Marc Trestman said.  Insider Michael Wright expects Gould to kick against the Cowboys on Thursday night, but you're better off going with a healthier option in fantasy football.

The Bears have placed K Robbie Gould on IR with the calf injury he suffered prior to last Sunday's game against the Vikings.  Chicago will replace Gould with K Olindo Mare.  The 13-year vet was with Carolina last  year, where he connected on just 22 of 28 FGs.  Don't bother with Mare in fantasy the rest of the way.

Bears K Robbie Gould strained his calf in pregame warmups yesterday.  He played through it but only kicked 2 XPs.  Punter Adam Podlesh handled kickoffs, and Chicago passed on a 52-yard FG that they would go for with a healthy Gould.  "I'll be OK," Gould said after the game. "I'll be fine. I'm just going to do whatever I can to make sure I'm good for next week." We'll keep our eye on his practice participation this week, but you should go with a healthier option for your fantasy lineup. Gould ranks just 16th in fantasy points at the position.

The weather for the Titans/Bears game is cold and blustery with winds reportedly up to 30 mph. Ks Robbie Gould and Rob Bironas might be a little risky today.

The Bears just gave Robbie Gould a 5-year deal worth $15.5 million.  It includes $4.25m up front. Gould is the highest paid kicker in the NFL.  Three months ago Josh Brown got a 5-yr, $14.2m deal from St. Louis with $4m up front.  Ok, Brown's money, we sorta understand. But how is Gould the top-paid kicker when he's never hit a 50-yard field goal? 

Bears K Robbie Gould hasn't reported to the team in protest of his contract. "The Bears have been in discussion with his agent, Brian Mackler, who declined to comment on the situation," reports the Sun Times. "Without another kicker on the roster, the Bears could look into (free agent) Mike Vanderjagt."

ChicagoBears.com reports Bears K Robbie Gould has set a team record with 17 consecutive field goals to start the season. Kevin Butler held the previous record with 15.
