The Colts have ruled LB Darius Leonard (groin) out for Sunday's game against the Browns. LB Anthony Walker is questionable with an ankle injury that arose during the practice week. He sat out Thursday before putting in a limited Friday. We'll check his status Sunday afternoon. Colts LB Bobby Okereke -- who opened the week not practicing because of a thumb injury -- was off the injury report by the end of the week after full workouts Thursday and Friday. He's the best IDP bet among Colts LBs this week.
Colts LB Darius Leonard left in the 1st half of Sunday's win over the Bears with a groin injury and did not return. We'll see about his status heading into Week 5. Anthony Walker and Bobby Okereke finished out the Week 4 contest as the full-time LBs, tallying 11 and 8 tackles, respectively. Each would be in play for IDP lineups if Leonard misses further time.
Colts LB Darius Leonard returned to full practices Thursday and Friday and finished the week off the injury report. So he should be good to go for IDP lineups in Week 17. S Khari Willis (shoulder) is doubtful after missing practice all week. CB Kenny Moore (ankle) returned to limited practice Friday after missing the previous 2 days and is questionable for the game against Jacksonville. Moore makes for a shaky bet after missing the past 3 games.
The Colts have several defensive starters who sat out practice Wednesday and will bear watching this week. LB Darius Leonard (back) joined the injury report after not appearing on it last week. CB Kenny Moore remained out with the ankle injury that cost him the previous 3 games. DL Denico Autry remained out with the concussion that kept him out of Week 16. S Khari Willis (shoulder) sustained his injury in Sunday's win over the Panthers. All will bear watching on the IDP front, and their statuses could impact the outlook for the Indy team defense against the Jaguars on Sunday. With both teams playing for nothing this week, don't be surprised if Indy deactivates any starters with even minor injury questions
The Colts have ruled LB Darius Leonard (concussion) out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs. It'll be his 3rd straight game missed. LB Anthony Walker (shoulder) is also questionable for the game. Walker didn't miss any practice this week and wasn't even listed on the injury report until Friday -- when he put in a full workout. We'd have to bet on him playing, but the status obviously means we'll need to check the Sunday night inactives.
Colts HC Frank Reich said MLB Darius Leonard will put in a limited practice Wednesday, according to Stephen Holder of The Athletic. There's no word yet on Leonard clearing the concussion protocol, but this progress bodes well for his potential Week 5 return. If Leonard is ready for Sunday's game at Kansas City, then LB Anthony Walker would likely return to playing about half the snaps and not being a big IDP help.
Colts MLB Darius Leonard will miss his 2nd straight game Sunday against the Raiders with a concussion. Leonard has yet to return to practice since suffering the injury. Leonard's absence boosts the tackle upside of LB Anthony Walker, who becomes a full-time player. DE Jabaal Sheard is questionable, however, for the 1st time this year. Sheard had knee surgery in early August and has been out since. Indy listed him as a limited participant in practice leading up the Week 3, but Sheard remained inactive. He continued to be limited this week but now officially has a chance to play. We wouldn't use Sheard in IDP lineups until we see about his snap count and readiness.
The Colts have ruled MLB Darius Leonard out for Sunday's game against the Falcons because of his concussion. Rookie Bobby Okereke expects to see increased playing time in Leonard's absence. LB Anthony Walker will likely lead the group in snaps.
Colts HC Frank Reich told reporters Monday that LB Darius Leonard developed concussion symptoms after Sunday's game against the Titans. Leonard is now in the league protocol and will need to pass through before he can play the Falcons on Sunday.
Colts LB Darius Leonard had surgery at some point this offseason on the left ankle he injured in 2018, GM Chris Ballard announced Tuesday. Leonard played through the issue for much of the year. He's expected to be out 6 weeks, a timeline that would still put him on track for the start of training camp. We'll keep an eye on him through the summer. Leonard, of course, started his career by dominating LB scoring and looks like the top IDP in 2019 drafts if the ankle's good.
Colts LB Darius Leonard is active for today’s game against the Jaguars despite dealing with shoulder and knee issues. Don’t even think about removing him from IDP lineups.
Colts LB Darius Leonard is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars with shoulder and knee injuries. He put in a full practice Friday, though, after progressing from a missed practice Wednesday to a limited Thursday workout. We'd bet on Leonard playing at Jacksonville, but we'll check his status Sunday morning.
Colts OLB Darius Leonard (ankle) is active for today’s game against the Jets. He missed last Thursday’s loss to the Patriots with the injury but practiced all this week and should be back in IDP lineups
Colts OLB Darius Leonard (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets. He put in a full practice Friday, though, and seems on track to play. We'll check his status Sunday morning. Leonard missed last week's game against the Patriots after testing his injured ankle in pregame.
Just after making him officially active for Thursday night's game against the Patriots, the Colts announced that LB Darius Leonard will not dress for the game. He sprained his left ankle in Sunday's OT loss to the Texans. Leonard missed just 1 of 86 snaps in that game but apparently isn't ready to go. Anthony Walker is the only Indy LB that you can count on in IDP lineups for Week 5.
The Colts will start undrafted rookie Skai Moore at MLB, next to 2nd-round rookie OLB Darius Leonard, in Sunday's opener against the Bengals, according to Zak Keefer of the Indianapolis Star. Both rookies started throughout the preseason, while expected MLB starter Anthony Walker watched from the sideline with a hamstring injury. We'll see if Moore can hang on to the job once Walker returns, but we'd bet on the 2 sharing that spot. Leonard is the best bet for fantasy value among Colts LBs for the season, but both rookies look like solid IDP lineup options for Week 1.
