NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Chargers WR Stevie Johnson will miss the entire season following surgery to repair a torn meniscus. San Diego already signed WR James Jones after Johnson's injury, but we're not much interested in him for fantasy purposes. Johnson's absence should mean more for players such as TEs Antonio Gates and Hunter Henry and RB Danny Woodhead.

Chargers WR Stevie Johnson suffered a torn meniscus in Sunday's practice and will undergo surgery soon, according to NFL Network's Michael Silver. It's "unclear" whether the injury will end Johnson's season, Silver adds. It certainly sounds like the 30-year-old is looking at an extended absence, though. He's not worth rostering in redraft fantasy leagues. Johnson is mostly a short-range possession receiver for San Diego, so his absence figures to benefit Keenan Allen, Antonio Gates and Danny Woodhead most. Dontrelle Inman, Javontee Herndon and Tyrell Williams will battle to take Johnson's #3 WR spot.

Chargers WR Stevie Johnson suffered a right knee injury Sunday, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. Johnson reportedly applied no pressure to the leg as he was carried off the field. We have yet to see an update on the specific injury. The team is likely awaiting further testing to solidify a diagnosis. We'll keep an eye on the situation. A Johnson injury wouldn't significantly alter fantasy outlooks, though it could mean more targets available for rookie TE Hunter Henry and perhaps help RB Danny Woodhead.

Chargers WR Stevie Johnson (groin) is inactive for today’s game against the Broncos. Malcom Floyd, Dontrelle Inman and Javontee Herndon will serve as San Diego’s top 3 WRs.

Chargers WR Stevie Johnson (groin) is questionable for this weekend's game against the Broncos.  He put in a full practice on Wednesday but was limited on Thursday and Friday.  At less than 100% in a brutal matchup, Johnson isn't a recommended Week 17 fantasy play.

Chargers WR Stevie Johnson (groin) is inactive once again vs. the Raiders tonight. His absence leaves more work for players such as Malcom Floyd, Dontrelle Inman and Jevontee Herndon. None has turned into a strong fantasy option in his absence to this point, though.

Chargers WR Stevie Johnson (groin) is listed as questionable for Thursday night's game against the Raiders.  He was limited in practice this week after missing the past 2 games.  If active tomorrow, he'll be a WR3 option vs. Oakland's 13th-ranked WR defense.

Chargers WR Stevie Johnson (groin) returned to practice on Tuesday after missing the past 2 games.  It looks like he has a chance to play against the Raiders on Thursday night.  If he does, Johnson would be a good bet to lead Chargers WRs in targets.  We'll update his status again tomorrow.

Chargers WR Stevie Johnson (groin) is inactive. Malcom Floyd and Dontrelle Inman figure to serve as San Diego’s top 2 WRs against a crumbling Dolphins defense.

Chargers WR Steve Johnson (groin) is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against Miami. If you’re still rostering the 29-year-old, it’s time to move on.

Chargers WR Stevie Johnson (groin) remained sidelined on Thursday.  It doesn't look like he'll play against the Dolphins this weekend.  WR Dontrelle Inman (neck), meanwhile, practiced for the 2nd straight day and appears on track to return on Sunday.  He's in the WR4 mix in the plus matchup.

Chargers WR Stevie Johnson (groin) is out for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs. He didn’t practice all week and has no timetable for return. With WR Dontrelle Inman (neck) also out, San Diego is down to WRs Malcom Floyd and Javontee Herndon. Neither is a recommended fantasy play, nor is QB Philip Rivers.

Chargers WR Stevie Johnson (groin) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday.  He seems unlikely to play against the Chiefs this weekend.  With WR Dontrelle Inman (neck) also likely out, San Diego will be down to Malcom Floyd and Javontee Herndon at WR.  Both guys would be desperation fantasy plays.

Chargers WR Stevie Johnson (groin) did not practice on Wednesday.  His status for this weekend's game against the Chiefs is murky.  With WR Dontrelle Inman (neck) also held out Wednesday, San Diego's top 2 healthy WRs are Malcom Floyd and Javontee Hernon.

Chargers WR Stevie Johnson injured his groin in the 2nd half of Sunday's loss.  He wasn't targeted a single time before exiting, getting blanketed by Denver's shutdown CBs.  We'll look for an update on Johnson's status tomorrow.  If healthy, he'll be back to WR3 status in an easier Week 14 matchup against the Chiefs.

Michael Gehlken confirmed Tuesday afternoon that Chargers WR Keenan Allen will miss the rest of the season because of the lacerated kidney he suffered Sunday against Baltimore. That raises the fantasy profiles of WRs Malcom Floyd, Stevie Johnson and Dontrelle Inman the rest of the way, and leaves targets on the field for TE Ladarius Green and the RBs as well. Losing his #1 WR lowers the ceiling for QB Philip Rivers a bit, but he has spread the ball around quite well so far in an offense that must lean heavily on him with little going in the run game.

Chargers WR Keenan Allen (kidney) "could" miss the rest of the season, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.  Allen underwent a "kidney procedure – not a surgery" this week, Schefter adds.  Allen is worth stashing on fantasy benches until we have a clearer picture of his status, but owners need to start preparing to be without him the rest of the way.  WRs Stevie Johnson and Malcom Floyd need to be owned in all leagues.  #3 WR Dontrelle Inman is worth stashing in deeper setups.
