Colts CB Vontae Davis cleared the league concussion protocol Saturday and should play Sunday at Green Bay, according to Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star. Expect Davis to spend most of the day on Packers WR Jordy Nelson, which should funnel more targets toward Green Bay's other wideouts.

The Colts defense got good news and very bad news on Monday. The good: DE Henry Anderson got activated from the PUP and will rejoin the team for the 1st time since suffering an ACL tear to end his rookie season. The bad: Top CB Vontae Davis is expected to miss at least the 1st month of the season, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Davis suffered a medial ankle sprain in practice last Thursday and has ligament damage. We'll see whether that will cost him more than the 1st 4 games. Indy signed free-agent CB Antonio Cromartie on Monday to fill in. Cromartie has had terrific seasons in the league, but it's also telling that he sat available this far into the offseason. We'll see how he looks. The secondary has also been operating without presumed starting FS Clayton Geathers throughout camp (foot) but expects to get him back at practice this week. All told, there's not much to get excited about in an already shaky defense.

The Colts on Monday labeled CB Vontae Davis day-to-day with the hamstring injury that knocked him out early in the 4th quarter of Sunday's loss to the Falcons. We'll see if he gets back to practice this week. If he's our or even limited this week, that would be good news for Bucs top WR Mike Evans. Indy appears likely to miss LT Anthony Castonzo for the matchup with Tampa Bay. HC Chuck Pagano called him week-to-week with an MCL sprain. That would be a significant loss for an already struggling offense with an already-shaky O-line.

The Colts will have all 3 questionable defensive starters tonight against the Texans. CB Vontae Davis is active despite a foot injury that kept him out of practice all week. DE Henry Anderson will play despite his own foot injury, and S Mike Adams will play through the neck trouble that limited him early in the practice week. Adams put in a full workout Wednesday, though. He and Anderson should be ready for your IDP lineup. Davis isn't much of an IDP option but could significantly alter Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins' night if he plays near 100%.

Three Colts defensive starters are questionable for Thursday night's game in Houston. S Mike Adams (neck), DE Henry Anderson (foot) and CB Vontae Davis (foot) all stand as question marks. Adams put in a full practice Wednesday and might be good to go. Anderson returned to a limited practice after missing the previous 2 days. Both make for decent IDP options if they're ready to play. Davis missed Wednesday's practice and looks quite iffy. He's not much of a fantasy option, but his presence or absence will alter the outlook for Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins. We'll update their statuses when the inactives come out Thursday evening.

The Colts defense will not have OLB Trent Cole against the Titans. He's inactive with a knee injury. Top CB Vontae Davis, however, is active after being questionable with the concussion that knocked him out of Monday's loss to the Jets. Cole's absence hurts the Indy pass rush, but that group hadn't impressed through 2 weeks anyway. The Colts make for a boom-bust D/ST play in fantasy football today, with more bust potential on the road against a QB with good accuracy and mobility.

Dolphins CB Vontae Davis (hamstring) was unable to practice all week and is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Giants.  Miami is expected to start 7th-round rookie CB Jimmy Wilson is his place.  It's a major boost for WRs Hakeem Nicks and Mario Manningham's matchups.

The Dolphins spent most of the 2nd half of their loss to the Texans Sunday playing without CB Vontae Davis. The starter injured his hamstring and gave way to Nolan Carroll. It was Carroll who got torched for Andre Johnson's late game-clinching TD. If Davis can't go in Week 3, Will Allen is expected to start in his place.
