Brady Cook Will Start Week 15

Jets QB Brady Cook will start this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars, HC Aaron Glenn announced Friday. QBs Tyrod Taylor (groin) and Justin Fields (knee) will be out with their injuries. Cook, an undrafted rookie out of Missouri, will be making his first career start in this one. He completed just 47% of his passes at 5.4 yards per attempt in relief of Taylor last week. The Jets' passing game is a total avoid in fantasy lineups if you can help it. And Jacksonville's DST is a strong Week 15 start.

Garrett Wilson Out "At Least" 3-4 Weeks

Jets WR Garrett Wilson is expected to miss "at least" 3-4 weeks with his latest knee injury, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini. Wilson does not need surgery, but we can't imagine the 2-7 Jets rushing him back. The timeline puts Wilson out through at least Week 13. He's worth stashing in you have the bench space, but we wouldn't consider Wilson a must-hold in shallower fantasy leagues. The Jets are left with a wasteland of WRs Tyler Johnson, Isaiah Williams, Arian Smith, Allen Lazard, John Metchie, and Adonai Mitchell. Avoid the group in fantasy. TE Mason Taylor theoretically finds strong target opportunity, but he'll remain tough to trust as long as Justin Fields is under center.

        Mason Taylor Active

Jets TE Mason Taylor (quad) is active for today’s game vs. the Bengals. He was added to the injury report and did not practice on Thursday but returned to a limited practice on Friday. The quad and QB Justin Fields add risk to Taylor’s Week 8 profile. But he gains target upside with WRs Garrett Wilson and Josh Reynolds out. And he has an excellent matchup against Cincinnati’s 32nd-ranked TE defense.

Mason Taylor "Likely" To Play Week 8

Jets TE Mason Taylor (quad) is "likely" to play vs. the Bengals tomorrow, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Taylor was added to the injury report and did not practice on Thursday but returned to a limited practice on Friday. The quad issue adds risk to Taylor's Week 8 outlook, as does QB Justin Fields. But Taylor has plenty of target upside with WRs Garrett Wilson and Josh Reynolds out. And he gets the league's 32nd-ranked TE defense.

Josh Reynolds Out For Week 8

Jets WR Josh Reynold (hip) has been ruled out for Sunday's game vs. the Bengals. He was added to the injury report on Friday and originally listed as questionable. Reynolds was the best target bet in New York's Garrett Wilson-less WR corps. Now the Jets are down to WRs Arian Smith, Allen Lazard, Tyler Johnson, and Isaiah Williams. Avoid the situation in all fantasy formats. TE Mason Taylor is the favorite to lead the team in targets vs. Cincinnati -- if he's able to play through the quad injury that has him listed as questionable.

        Mason Taylor Out Thursday

Jets TE Mason Taylor was added to the injury report and did not practice on Thursday with a quad issue. Taylor has a great Week 8 matchup vs. the Bengals' league-worst TE defense, but his availability for that one is now in question. Check back tomorrow for an update on his status.

Mason Taylor Sidelined by High Ankle Sprain as Season Nears

Jets rookie TE Mason Taylor has a high ankle sprain and will miss at least a week, according to HC Aaron Glenn. Taylor is competing for the Jets’ starting job, and this type of injury could sideline him for the rest of training camp and preseason. Despite Glenn downplaying it, Taylor’s Week 1 status could be in doubt.
