Giants TE Evan Engram was participating in team drills Monday, according to Paul Schwartz of the New York Post. We won't get an official injury report until Wednesday, but the Giants got an early start coming off their Thursday night loss to Washington. We'll watch Engram's progress throughout the week, but it seems as though he's trending toward playing against the Falcons on Sunday.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Jaguars are expected to put the franchise tag on TE Evan Engram. The accompanying one-year deal would pay Engram $11.345 million. That wouldn't be a crazy boost from the $9 million he got on a one-year deal with Jacksonville last offseason. Engram finished 2022 ranked fifth among TEs in PPR points; eighth in points per game. He's currently going 7th among TEs in Underdog ADP and ninth in early FFPC drafting. Engram's an OK target in that range, though he'll face extra competition this season if the NFL reinstates WR Calvin Ridley. We expected Jacksonville to keep Engram and won't be surprised if they reach a longer-term deal.
Jaguars TE Evan Engram finished Saturday’s Wild Card win with 7 catches, 93 yards and 1 score. In a game that found the Jags down 27-0, Engram led the team in targets with 11. Credit the former Giant for emerging down the stretch — he’s now hit 14+ PPR points in 5 of his past 7 matchups. Next week will likely turn up a matchup with Kansas City. Engram tallied only 14 yards against K.C. back in Week 10.
Jaguars TE Evan Engram racked up 113 yards on 7 catches in Thursday night's win over the Jets. His team-leading 8 targets constituted 25.8% of QB Trevor Lawrence's total attempts. Engram also accounted for 35% of the team's receptions and 49.3% of the receiving yards. No other Jaguar reached 30 yards on the night or exceeded 3 receptions. WR Christian Kirk caught 3 of 6 targets for 22 yards. WR Zay Jones managed just 1 reception for 14 yards on 4 targets. Jacksonville closes out the fantasy schedule (for most leagues) with a Week 17 visit to Houston. Although that matchup has favored rushing all season, it's not a scary spot for any members of the Jacksonville pass offense. For Engram's sake, the Texans matchup has also been much friendlier to TE scoring (7th best) than to WRs (28th).
Jaguars TE Evan Engram racked up 11 catches for 162 yards and 2 TDs in Sunday's victory over the Titans. He accounted for 35.7% of Jacksonville targets, 36.7% of receptions and 44% of receiving yards. Engram beat his previous highs for this season by 5 receptions and 93 yards, and he doubled his season TD total. The next 2 weeks present significantly tougher passing matchups in the Cowboys and Jets.
Jags TE Evan Engram posted only 3 catches (4 targets) for 14 yards in Sunday’s loss to Kansas City. He scored from close range, only for the play to be negated by an illegal man downfield penalty. Brutal, as Engram remains stuck on 1 score this season. A low-end spot-starter going forward, Engram now enters a Week 11 bye.
