Jeremiyah Love Dynasty Value: Why He’s the Clear 1.01 in Rookie Drafts

        QUICK LINKS:

Few prospects enter this draft cycle with as clean a fantasy profile as Love.

The production checks out, the film consistently flashes NFL traits, and the remaining questions revolve more around usage than ability. When you stack his efficiency, versatility, and resume, Love looks less like a debate and more like a benchmark for the rest of the class.

Let's get into his complete dynasty profile.

        Leaving One Powerhouse For Another

Love led his high school team to back-to-back state titles. The St. Louis native garnered offers from many top college programs before choosing Notre Dame.

His freshman season pointed to a future breakout, despite his limited role. Love earned the No. 2 job behind Audric Estime, who handled lead-back work and erupted for 1,341 yards and 18 TDs on 210 carries. Estime eventually landed in Denver as a 2024 Round 5 pick.

His exit paved the way for Love that fall, but Notre Dame stopped short of supplying workhorse usage.

Should we take that as a negative signal?

        A Stud-Back Resume … Without Workhorse Volume

Love handled a modest 46.3% carry share in 2024, with fellow sophomore Jadarian Price close behind at 34%. Price arrived with offers from Ohio State, Texas, and USC and averaged 6.2 yards per carry, giving Notre Dame reason to deploy a two-back approach.

Even so, Love showed special ability. Among 81 RBs with at least 150 carries, he finished second in yards per carry, second in Pro Football Focus elusive rating, and top 7 in both yards after contact per attempt and breakaway rate.

Notre Dame ranked just 109th in pass attempts per game (26.9), limiting the receiving opportunities. But Love made the most of his 7.8% target share, snagging 28 passes for 229 yards (8.2 per catch) and 2 TDs. He averaged a massive 9.8 yards after catch per reception while forcing 16 missed tackles, per PFF.

Meanwhile, Price caught four of six targets for 10 yards.

With both backs returning in 2025, the question wasn’t whether Love could handle more. It was whether Notre Dame would increase the work for their best back.

Love Proves He's One of the Nation's Top RBs

Notre Dame did boost Love’s workload this past fall. He jumped from 12 touches per game as a sophomore to nearly 19 as a junior, with both Love and Jadarian Price appearing in all 12 contests.

And Love’s top-end efficiency? It stuck around, this time with 6.9 yards per carry and 10.4 per catch. He ranked 31st nationally in RB carries but eighth in yards and third in TDs.

Increased work also didn’t damage his durability. Even when Love exited Notre Dame’s regular-season finale with a rib injury, he later returned.

HC Marcus Freeman praised Love’s competitiveness at halftime, underscoring the trust he earned within the program.

"He's hurting, and that's a reflection of the type of character that he has," Freeman said, via the Indy Star. "He wants to be out here, he wants to compete. I keep challenging Love to make sure he does what's best for the team. If that means he needs to keep himself out, then we'll make that decision. I don't want to make it — I want him to make the decision …”

There wasn’t much left for Love to prove in college. So in December, he declared for the NFL Draft.

Next, let's take a look at some of the traits that showcase Love’s dynasty value.

        Jeremiyah Love Highlights

        Games watched: USC (2024), Georgia (2024), Penn State (2024), Miami (2025), Texas A&M (2025), Arkansas (2025), NC State (2025), USC (2025), Pittsburgh (2025), Syracuse (2025), Stanford (2025)

Love is destined for Round 1 draft capital, but do his traits on film reflect that?

        Let's take a look ...

        Next-Level Anticipation

On this play, Love shows anticipation against defenders while keeping his eyes on the second level. He shows good burst as his OT gets pushed backward. Without dropping his eyes, Love accelerates and anticipates the hole closing.

To counter this, the RB pulls off a smooth spin move to the outside and puts himself in space. He finishes the run with power to pick up extra yardage.

Love makes such runs frequently, consistently turning small spaces into chunk gains.

        Underrated Receiving Signals PPR Upside

On this play, Love makes an impressive one-handed catch, showcasing his focus and concentration with the ball in the air. He identifies the CB pressing at the snap, which leaves him wide open down the field.

Love tracks the ball well and extends his arm for the catch when the pass is slightly overthrown. He barely loses speed and uses a stiff arm to keep the safety off him on his way to the TD.

Love showcased strong receiving ability throughout college and should have been used even more in the passing game.

Explosion and Toughness Produce Big-Play Ability

On this play, Love shows early patience with his first step before identifying the hole and exploding into space. He runs through an arm tackle and then powers through contact at the second level.

Despite the contact, he takes a wide angle in anticipation of reaching the third level and running away from the defense for a TD. Love’s ability to combine athleticism, power, vision, and patience makes him a surefire first-round pick.

        He Ain't Perfect, Though

This play highlights one of Love’s potential weaknesses. Although his vision tends to be a strength when anticipating the second level, he can occasionally miss easier holes.

On this play, Love goes in motion to set up more explosiveness, but it works against him. He sees the open hole too late and tries to make the cut with his OT in front of him.

Love trips over his lineman and leaves yards on the field.

Jeremiyah Love Team Fit: Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs pick ninth overall. That's within the range that Love's expected to come off the board, at least at this stage of the process.

You can argue that a top-10 RB isn't the best use of draft capital. But there's no question this unit needs a major upgrade.

Just consider: Kansas City ranked 20th and 29th in team yards per carry over the past two seasons. They recorded historically low explosive run rates over that stretch.

Clearly, they must upgrade on Kareem Hunt and Isiah Pacheco.

In Love, the team would find an explosive, three-down option to lean on as Patrick Mahomes recovers from a torn ACL. Meanwhile, dynasty managers would have the RB1 of this class landing in a high-ceiling spot.

Dynasty Value Conclusion: Lock in Love as the Top Pick

Love sits atop our 2026 rookie rankings. In fact, he leads the 1-QB rankings by a massive 30 points in 3D Value+ (ahead of WR Jordyn Tyson).

Even in superflex, Love projects 17 points ahead of QB Fernando Mendoza.

Love is simply one of the surest things in a class that's alarmingly short on skill-position talent.

Whether he lands in Kansas City, New Orleans, or elsewhere, odds are that Love will remain the clear 1.01.
