Chiefs WR Marquise "Hollywood" Brown was injured in the Chiefs preseason game this past Saturday. The extent of the injury has been revealed, as his S/C Joint Sprain will keep him sidelined for four to six weeks. Opening Night is three weeks away.

        What They're Saying

Jordan Schultz: "Chiefs WR Marquise “Hollywood” Brown is expected to miss four to six weeks with the sternoclavicular injury he suffered, per multiple sources. Opening night is three weeks from this Thursday night."

        2024 Fantasy Football Impact

The timeline of Browns' injury means he potentially could miss Week 1 or even more games as he recovers from his S/C Joint Injury he suffered in Saturday's preseason game.

With the first game only three weeks away, Brown's odds of playing against the Ravens on September 5th are low.

There have been players who were able to be on the field after three weeks after an S/C Joint sprain, so we will keep an eye and update you as we get closer to Week 1.

Brown missing the first game could be a boost for rookie WR Xavier Worthy and second-year WR Rashee Rice.

Worthy especially is the most likely to step into Brown's role on the current Chiefs' offense. If Worthy does well in Brown's absence, it could be detrimental to Brown's playing time as a whole.
