Aaron Jones Efficient on the Ground vs. Giants

Vikings RB Aaron Jones had 14 rushes for 94 yards and a TD. He added two more receptions for 15 yards in the 28-6 win over the Giants.

2024 Fantasy Football Impact

Jones split carries with RB Ty Chandler (who had eight rushes for 17 yards) but was by fair the more effective runner. He also got involved a bit in the passing game, though Chandler was targeted one more time than Jones.

His longest run was for 19 yards and helped the Vikings seal the victory after getting up big on the Giants in Week 1.

It is clear that Jones is the lead back for the Vikings with Chandler filling in as needed, especially on passing downs.

With how well the Vikings offensive line played, Jones could have a very successful season moving forward as he had some big holes to run through as the game went on.

Next week, Jones will draw one of the best-run defenses in the NFL in the San Francisco 49ers, so he may not be able to create an early-season scoring streak in that match-up.

After that, the Vikings draw the Texans at home and then the Packers on the road for a divisional match-up. If Jones struggles against SF, he should bounce back after that.
