The Panthers selected Arizona WR Tetairoa McMillan with the eighth pick of Round One in the 2025 NFL Draft. At 6’5, 212 pounds, he wins with elite length, reliable hands, and contested catch ability. An elite high school recruit, McMillan delivered on his promise across three seasons at Arizona. In 2022, he led all true freshmen with 702 receiving yards. From 2023-2024, he was the most productive pass catcher in all of college football (174-2,721-18). Per Pro Football Focus, 25% of his career targets were contested, while he tallied a solid 50% contested catch rate. McMillan didn’t work out before the draft and did not produce a Relative Athletic Score (RAS). He ranked second among Combine WRs in 2024 target share (32.8%) and eighth among those WRs in PFF Receiving Grade (85.8).
