Travis Hunter has drawn understandable focus in Jaguars practice reports. But multiple beat writers have highlighted the play of WR Dyami Brown in recent days.
SI.com's John Shipley on Saturday: "After a quiet start to training camp, [Brown] has been on fire over the last three practices. ... He seems to be picking up some momentum."
Big Cat Country Country's Gus Logue on Thursday: "The free agent pickup continues to stack impressive practices and has emerged as an every-level threat for the Jaguars' offense."
Anytime we talk about Hunter, we talk about the uncertainty of his offensive role. That uncertainty adds risk to the rookie, but it adds upside to Brown.
Jacksonville signed the former Commander to a one-year, $10 million contract at the start of free agency in March. The Jags have not only drafted Hunter since then, but also released WR Gabe Davis.
As long as August continues to go well for Brown, he should have little trouble landing among the team's top three WRs for the regular season. Primary competition comes from Parker Washington, a short-range slot type who lacks Brown's dynamism.

Brown's standout days can only be good news for QB Trevor Lawrence, who also impressed in the team's recent srimmage.
