WR Ladd McConkey led the Chargers in pass routes in Sunday's win over the Chiefs, according to Pro Football Focus numbers. But that didn't equate to usable fantasy production. He managed just 2 receptions for 20 yards while trailing three teammates in targets. WR Keenan Allen led the team with seven targets and 5 receptions. Allen took those for just 36 yards, though. TE Oronde Gadsden and WR Tre Harris tied for second at five targets. Gadsden posted a 4-61 receiving line, ranking second on the team in catches and leading the way in receiving yards. Harris tallied 3 receptions for 49 yards.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
McConkey has now fallen short of 40 receiving yards in four straight games, including three lines of 20 yards or less.
McConkey hasn't exceeded six targets in a game since Week 8.
His target shares haven't changed, with matching 23% marks from Week 1 through Week 8 and Week 9 through Week 14.
But Justin Herbert has seen a decline in passing volume and production:
| Pass Att/gm |
37.0 |
25.8
|
| Comp % |
67.9% |
61.3% |
| Yards/Att |
7.2 |
6.8 |
All that makes McConkey no more than a mid-to-low WR3 type over the next two weeks, with downside risk from there.
Other Winners & Losers
Allen and Harris logged minor wins with their Sunday usage.
No one besides Allen has led Chargers WRs in receptions since Week 10. But he has fallen short of 40 yards in four straight games and has reached 50 just once among the past eight games.
Harris stepped into the role vacated by an inactive Quentin Johnston. Not only did that produced little vs. the Chiefs, it has also led to lackluster numbers for Johnston.
Bottom line: This passing game just isn't good enough to support much fantasy worth right now.
Gadsden enjoyed a modest bounce back. But it'll be tough to trust that after these four preceding receiving lines:
