Patriots QB Drake Maye threw for a season-low 155 yards in Sunday’s loss to Buffalo. Maye failed to throw a TD pass for only the second time this season, although he delivered his third and fourth rushing TDs of 2025.
What They're Saying
New England snapped a ten-game losing streak in the loss. Here’s how Maye responded, via NFL.com:
"It was a long stretch where we were feeling good about ourselves. Now it's about responding from losing to a good team."
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Early in the first quarter, Maye took a designed run off left tackle, broke one tackle, and found the end zone for an 8-yard score. Late in the first, he scrambled up the middle for a 7-yard TD.
But that was it for Maye in terms of scoring. TreVeyon Henderson scored New England’s final two TDs, while the offense as a whole fired off a low 51 plays.
Maye was pressured on only 17.2% of his dropbacks, but the Bills did well to limit explosives in this one. His big play was a 30-yard deep ball to Kayshon Boutte, who made an excellent diving grab along the sideline.
Overall, no Patriots WR topped Mack Hollins' 41 yards. Meanwhile, veteran Stefon Diggs continued to play a limited role, this time garnering only 4 targets on a mere 57% route rate.
Pats WRs as a group remain a shaky fantasy proposition. But Maye -- despite the rocky passing performance -- should stick in fantasy lineups for a Week 16 date with Baltimore. He's finished as a top-13 fantasy QB in all but three games.
