Steelers RB Kenneth Gainwell led Pittsburgh’s backfield in Week 15, totaling 126 yards on 20 touches vs. Miami. Jaylen Warren -- who carried a questionable (illness) designation -- managed only 48 yards on 15 attempts.
What They're Saying
Aaron Rodgers shared some glowing words on Gainwell following the win (via the Steelers' X account):
“I think the run that he had, 38 yards, I believe, on just a simple inside zone weak, just his vision, just fun to watch. I can’t tell you exactly what I call him every week ‘cause there’s some expletives in there, but I love playing with him. I really do. He is as smart as they come. He is super smart, and I still cannot believe what we got him for. I told him a long time ago, my goal was to get him paid because I’ve been a fan of his since he was in Philly and thought that every time he’s in the game, something good happens. And just to be able to play with him and the type of guy that he is, man, I can’t say enough good things about Kenny every single game.”
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Gainwell is now up to 57 catches for the year, easily a career high. He also hit 80 rushing yards for the third time in 2025.
Gainwell's efficiency really stood out vs. Miami. The former Eagle notched 6.2 yards per carry, adding +2.2 rush yards over expected per attempt (per Next Gen Stats). Gainwell supplied an impressive 5.2 yards after contact per attempt, too.
Up to PPR RB19 for the year, Gainwell projects as a useful Flex option for a two-week stretch that includes Detroit and Cleveland. Gainwell caught six passes back in a Week 6 meeting with the Browns.
