The Panthers have ruled LB Trevin Wallace out for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers with a shoulder injury. Wallace followed a full Wednesday practice with limited work Thursday and Friday, giving the appearance of a midweek injury. But HC Dave Canales indicated after Friday's practice that Wallace had aggravated a previous shoulder injury in Sunday's loss to the Saints.

Canales said they were hoping to get Wallace to a point where he could play but obviously couldn't get there. That stated plan makes it sound like the Wallace could be back for Week 17, though. We'll watch his progress.
His absence for this Sunday's game against the Bucs boosts the tackle upside for LB Christian Rozeboom.
He played in two previous games this season that Wallace missed or left early (since Wallace became a full-timer in Week 4). Rozeboom played 95% of the snaps and tallied 12 tackles in the Week 8 loss to the Bills that Wallace left early. He was also playing full-time -- and collected 10 tackles -- in the Week 11 win at Atlanta that Wallace missed, but Rozeboom left that one in the fourth quarter with a hamstring injury.
Rozeboom returned from that injury for last week's game and returned to his usual 70-75% range in snap share.
I've boosted Rozeboom to a nearly 100% snap share and moved him up our Week 16 LB rankings.
Claudin Cherelus will start in Wallace's spot and likely see playing time in the 70-80% range. He's not an attractive fantasy play, with zero games this season of more than 3 solo tackles.
