Giants RB Cam Skattebo said his goal is to be back on the field for training camp. He's working back from a right tibia fracture, ruptured deltoid ligament, and dislocated ankle suffered in the October 26 game against the Eagles. He's resumed jogging and said his rehab is on track.
What They're Saying
Skattebo on his rehab: "Getting my dorsiflexion in the foot is the main thing obviously. I was stuck in a boot for eight weeks. Just strengthening it up. I broke my bone and dislocated my ankle. So anything you can imagine to get the ankle moving again is what I have to get up."
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Skattebo was off to a strong start before going down in Week 8. Between Weeks 2 and 7, he averaged:
- 16.0 carries
- 66.8 rushing yards
- 4.7 targets
- 3.5 catches
- 29.5 receiving yards
- 1.0 total TDs
Only seven RBs averaged more PPR points per game over that stretch.
Skattebo boasts an exciting ceiling in this ascending Giants offense. But there are lots of questions to answer.
- How will he bounce back from this injury?
- What will the Giants' new coaching staff look like?
- Will the team add anything to the backfield?
We'd consider Skattebo the favorite to lead New York's backfield in 2026, but it's not a lock considering all the variables. He'll be a risk/reward pick in early best-ball drafts.
