The Seahawks and WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba agreed to a four-year, $168.6 million contract extension with $120 million guaranteed, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. That $42.15 million average annual salary tops Ja'Marr Chase ($40.25 million) as the richest WR deal ever. Smith-Njigba is now signed with Seattle for the next six seasons.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Smith-Njigba is coming off a massive 2025 season, racking up 119 catches, 1,793 yards, and 10 TDs. He led the league in receiving yards, ranked third among WRs in catches, and tied for fourth in TDs. Only Puka Nacua averaged more PPR points per game.
The underlying numbers were just as impressive. Smith-Njigba commanded a massive 33.9% target share and paired it with elite efficiency. His 3.62 yards per route ranked second to Nacua last year and was the third-best mark over the last 10 seasons (min. 50 targets).
JSN will have trouble matching that combination of volume and efficiency going forward, though, especially with OC Klint Kubiak now in Las Vegas. That has him a tad overvalued in 2026 drafts, according to our ADP Market Index.
Dynasty Impact
This extension stabilizes Smith-Njigba's dynasty value, even if we have some concerns about this passing game sans Kubiak.
JSN will clearly remain the focal point of the offense and just turned 24 in February. That puts him smack dab in the middle of his prime, with elite WR production typically peaking around age 26 based on our historical aging curves.
Smith-Njigba sits second among WRs and third overall in our updated dynasty rankings.
