Jordyn Tyson Stock Soars After Proving He’s Healthy

Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson worked out in front of 20 NFL teams on Friday and solidified his first-round status, per ESPN’s Matt Miller. Tyson missed the NFL Combine and Arizona State’s Pro Day while recovering from a hamstring injury that first surfaced in October and was aggravated in November.

Indications are the workout went well, with Tyson looking fully healthy ahead of next week’s draft while running "around 20–25" routes. He did not participate in any additional on-field testing or drills.

ESPN's Pete Thamel posted on X that an NFL source at Tyson's workout said "[Tyson] showed the twitch, explosiveness and leaping ability we all saw in the fall. He showed he’s healthy and still explosive, which is all he needed to do.”

20 NFL teams watched Tyson's workout, including the Cardinals, Bills, Browns, Panthers, Cowboys, Lions, Packers, Raiders, Chargers, Dolphins, Giants, Jets, Eagles, Titans, and Commanders.

Tyson is now anticipated to be selected "much higher than earlier expected," according to Miller, and his draft range "starts at 5, but he's off the board no later than 16."

The Giants, who hold the No. 5 pick, were in attendance for the workout. The Jets, picking at No. 16, were also present.

        2026 Fantasy Football Impact

Injuries have been the primary concern for Tyson. He missed 34% of his games at Arizona State, including a multi-ligament knee tear in 2022, a broken collarbone in 2024, and a lingering hamstring issue in 2025.

A healthy Tyson size, route-running, and play-making to function as a primary WR in the NFL. Early first-round draft capital would put him in position to push for an immediate fantasy-relevant role.

Tyson currently sits inside the top five in our rookie-draft ADP, but he could overtake Carnell Tate and Makai Lemon if he’s the first WR selected.

His best ball ADP of 86th overall also makes him an appealing value target in the eighth round.
