The New Orleans Saints selected North Dakota State WR Bryce Lance in Round 4 of the 2026 NFL Draft. Like his brother Trey, Lance starred at North Dakota State. He moved into the starting lineup in 2024 and immediately delivered. He posted back-to-back 1,000- yard seasons and earned first-team allconference honors both years. Lance brings ideal boundary size and vertical juice. He averaged 21.2 yards per catch in 2025 and posted an elite 3.57 yards per route run, one of the strongest efficiency marks in the class. The tape matches the numbers. Lance wins downfield with body control, tracking ability, and finishing strength. Competition level and age (25 in September) work against Lance
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
The Saints drafted WR Jordyn Tyson in the first round, but Lance could still find a role on a weak Saints’ depth chart.
Lance’s athleticism and production gives him upside, even as a rookie.
He will compete with veteran Devaughn Vele (who the Saints gave up a fourth round pick to acquire) for early snaps.
Lance could be an upside selection late in redraft leagues. Both Jordyn Tyson and Chris Olave have dealt with various injuries over the last few years that cost them playing time.
If either go down again, it could open the door for Lance to contribute.
Dynasty Impact
Lance offers enough athletic upside to be worth a third round rookie pick. On a team building its passing game, Lance can at least be a downfield threat to offer occasional fantasy production.
He is worth taking and stashing on the end of your roster in case Lance gets called into action early. By 2027, he certainly could be starting for the Saints.
