J.K. Dobbins Headshot

Nick Kosmider of The Athletic deems RB J.K. Dobbins one of the Broncos' 10 most important players for 2026, putting him ahead of backfield mates RJ Harvey and Jonah Coleman.

What They're Saying

Kosmider: "There's a reason the Broncos signed Dobbins to a two-year contract ahead of free agency ... a deal that came on the heels of Dobbins missing the final nine games of the 2025 season because of injury. Denver is betting that Dobbins can replicate his performance across the first 10 weeks of last season, when his 772 rushing yards ranked fifth in the NFL."

2026 Fantasy Football Impact

Dobbins went down for the season in Week 10. Through that point, he ranked 24th at the position in PPR points per game, 22nd in half-PPR, and 22nd in non-PPR.

The veteran ranked 13th in the league in carry share to that point, though just 63rd among RBs in target share.

That type of usage split seems likely to continue into 2026. Dobbins remains a weak bet for passing-game usage, especially with rookie RB Jonah Coleman drawing praise in that area.

But his contract does point to Denver continuing to feed Dobbins on the ground. That makes him a solid pick at ADP in non-PPR and half-PPR formats. He'll have a tougher time paying off regularly in full-PPR.

Harvey, meanwhile, looks like a poor value at a higher draft cost than Dobbins.

Coleman's interesting in handcuff range, though he'd likely split backfield work with Harvey if Dobbins went down.
