De'Von Achane Headshot

Dolphins HC Jeff Hafley confirmed that RB De’Von Achane won’t have any restrictions at the start of training camp. The 24-year-old sat out team drills in offseason practices following shoulder surgery.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact

The Dolphins signed Achane to a four-year, $64 million extension back in May. The deal includes $32 million in guarantees, while his $16 million in average annual value slots third among RBs.

So Achane’s value to Miami’s new staff is obvious. He's produced 1,400+ total yards in consecutive seasons and missed just one game during that stretch. His big-play ability remained elite last year, when he led all RBs with 100+ carries in explosive run rate (13.5%).

Our concern for 2026 is the environment, as Miami lost one of the best run-game designers in HC Mike McDaniel. New OC Bobby Slowik was on McDaniel's staff last year, but his play-calling results in Houston proved uneven.

Malik Willis was an efficient passer in Green Bay, but the pieces around him in Miami are largely unproven. Achane may be the lead back for a bottom-three NFL offense, which would put a continued emphasis on his ability to create explosive plays.

With a fringe Round 1 ADP, Achane isn't a priority draft pick.
