This extension pays Flowers like a top-10 WR. That pay rate matches his production last season, when he ranked top 10 in both receptions and receiving yards.
Flowers still hasn't reached elite fantasy-scoring territory, but the upside is clear: His 2.87 yards per team pass attempt trailed only Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Puka Nacua last season.
The problem is volume. An offense that ranked dead last in pass attempts last year didn't give him enough chances to reach that elite scoring tier.
That could change under new OC Declan Doyle, who arrives from a Ben Johnson offense. This extension suggests Flowers will soak up much of any added volume.
