KC Concepcion is back to making plays in training camp just a day after a shoulder injury scare. Zac Jackson of The Athletic reported that both Concepcion and Boston are off to “strong starts” in a paragraph that included “It feels like Jerry Jeudy’s time as the de facto No. 1 wide receiver is coming to an end…”.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Hype Rising, Patience Needed
Between a stellar Freshman year at NC State and his most recent Junior year at Texas A&M, Concepcion ended up as the only WR from the 2026 draft class to post multiple seasons of at least 2.00 yards per team pass attempt before becoming a Senior.
Concepcion was one of the most exciting wide receivers in this draft, and the latest camp reports only add to that excitement.
Unfortunately, while the hype might not come as a surprise to some, the path to higher-end fantasy upside is likely limited due to the offensive environment. In the seven games Shedeur Sanders started last season, he managed just 28.0 pass attempts per game. That would've ranked third to last among all teams in the NFL, ahead of only the Commanders and Ravens, where new head coach Todd Monken coordinated the offense last season.
Even if, and likely when, Concepcion carries his impressive training camp into the season, immediate production might still be hard to come by.
