Three years after taking Will Levis with the first pick of the second round, the Titans are releasing him, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Rapoport adds that the team explored trade options before ultimately releasing Levis.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Release Doesn't End Him
Levis started a total of 21 games in his first two season for the Titans, where at a point there was even possible franchise quarterback buzz.
But after he failed to reach 15.0 fantasy points per game (PPG) in either season, the Titans ended up in position to draft Cam Ward with the first overall pick.
Levis hasn’t shown much promise through his underlying metrics either. His highest adjusted yards per attempt finished in either season still ranked outside the top 20 QBs.
Still, Levis' prospect pedigree will likely earn him another opportunity elsewhere despite the lack of production or efficiency.
