Malik Nabers Headshot

Giants WR Malik Nabers sounded uncertain about his Week 1 availability when he spoke Monday. He said his surgically repaired knee feels "real good," but he still has hurdles to clear before he's ready for game action.

What They're Saying

Nabers on Week 1: "That'll be a decision that's made when that time comes. ... The outside view, I might look like I'm 100%. ... But when you're in your body and you're in it, you still have some things that you still gotta work on as a football player that you gotta be like, 'I don't feel right doing this cut, I haven't been hit, I haven't seen this.' So there's certain things that you just gotta as a football player mentally prepare that before you go into a game. ... I wanna be able to come out there and make no mistakes and just be able to fly around and do what I do."

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Mental Hurdles Still Matter

Nabers sounds close, and the final stage of recovery is often as much mental as physical. But with the opener just 13 days away, it's not ideal that he still doesn't feel all the way back.

We're still projecting Nabers to miss Week 1 and ramp up to full go by Week 5. That has him tied for 12th in our WR rankings. He sits WR12 in the latest consensus ADP.
