49ers TE George Kittle is making the trip to Australia for next Thursday's opener vs. the Rams, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "Kittle is trending in the right direction to play," Rapoport adds.

We've been skeptical that Kittle would make the long trip coming off his Achilles tear. But he's on the plane, giving him a good chance to play against the Rams.
We're now projecting Kittle in for Week 1, although we'd be very surprised if he played a full slate of snaps.
He won't be a recommended Week 1 fantasy start but could be by the end of September.
