For the first time since signing a four-year, $114 million contract, Alec Pierce was a full participant at practice per Colts beat reporter Nathan Brown. This is the best sign yet that Pierce will be a full-go for Opening Week against the Ravens after offseason ankle surgery.

Pierce is coming off career highs in target share, yards per team pass attempt, target rate, and yards per route run, all leading to a career-high PPR points per game (PPG).
Pierce was still out-targeted by both Tyler Warren and Michael Pittman Jr. last season, while essentially matching Josh Downs. That doesn’t bode well for production in a Daniel Jones-led offense. He hasn’t supplied an 18.0 passing PPG since his rookie year.
The team shipped Pittman Jr. to the Steelers, and Keenan Allen joined, leaving a cloudy path to high-target volume.
Because this was Pierce’s first full practice of the offseason, his ankle remains worth monitoring as opening week nears.
