Sean Hammond of the Chicago Tribune reports that “[Rome] Odunze came up hobbling during an install period at the start of practice.” The leg injury cost Odunze the rest of practice, though he initially tried to stay in before the training staff pulled him.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Foot Recovery, New Setback
After playing a full 17-game season as a rookie, Odunze missed the final five games last year following a stress fracture he suffered in his left foot. But it’s an injury that reportedly has not looked to affect him at all during training camp.
Over the 12 games he played in last year, Odunze accounted for a 20.5% target share leading to 11.2 PPR points per game. That ranked outside the top 30 wide receivers.
Still, there's reason for optimism. DJ Moore is departing the offense, and Odunze is recovering from the foot fracture.
We likely won’t hear any specifics on Odunze with Ben Johnson not meeting with the media until next week, but his latest leg injury is something we’ll monitor closely ahead of the Bears' opening matchup against the Panthers.
